I looked at him as he seemed amazed .
Ntsika : are you sure ?
Zanele : why would I joke about this . She is my little sisters boyfriend . I mean ex boyfriend.
he kept smiling looking at his phone .
Later that day .
we went in to take a shower , i don't know if I am wrong or what but I decided to wear my zulu attire . while kuhle wore her xhosa and keke had to wear sotho . we were all different but still looking beautiful . when we came out dad was supprised to see me wearing zulu .
Dad : do you know that you will be the only one in a zulu attire ?
Zanele : that's because I am me tata , I don't wanna be like everyone else .
Dad : but ....
Zanele : no buts tata learn to accept your kids for who they are because at the end of the day you might end up losing them if you don't , dont always force your kids , they are engaging themselves to things they don't want but rather what you want and you tend to think it is good for them wherelse its not .
he just looked at me with disbelief .
Dad : I never did that now mna .
Zanele : then let siphokuhle follow her dream of becoming a journalist .
Dad : that careers is too risky .
Zanele : problem with our parents is they care about what people think and say rather than what your kids feel . you wanna be viewed as " ubaba we doctors " and that's not cool because at the end of the day , we are not happy.
Dad : umdala Zanele yazi .
first time calling me Zanele and I felt good about that .
Zanele : now please allow your kids to be happy and do what will make them happy . I love you dad .
I went out to the girls and we were now busy with our hair . I am wearing a full zulu attire as well as the hat since well I installed a weave . the things I was wearing from the top kinda revealed my boobs . we went inside the car and stormed our parents are long gone .
