ZANELE'S POV .

Zanele : what if he won't accept me ?
Old woman : that does not matter sanalwam as long as you have set your foot at your father's place . they need to do some cleansing since well you lost your child . if you don't do as I have said you will never carry children and you will loose everyone around you . in that case you will end up in the streets or maby die .

I was really terrified and scared . a week later . today I am going to my father's place . honestly I am so scared. I have nothing apart from my necklace . it has been good living with this old woman. She is a very nice woman . I felt peace after so many years . when I arrived there I saw this huge house and there were alot of people . I went inside and this guy approached me . he was tall , dark skinned with dimples .

Guy  : molo sisi ngabe ungubani wena ? ( hey sis who are you )
Zanele  : ngegama ngingu Zanele from KZN and I am here to see my father and you are ?
Guy   : ngegama ndingu ntsikayekhaya , the older brother . if I may ask who is your father ?
Zanele  : my father is Mandilakhe solomo .
Ntsika   : ndiyeza ngoku sisi cela ulinde apha .

I waited as ntsika has said . he went inside and after a while he came and told me to come in . we went in and I was met by this beautiful woman who was sitting down and my father who was seated in those king chairs .

Zanele  : sanibonani ekhaya . ngingu Zanele mbhele ngisuka e KZN ngizobona ubaba u Mandilakhe solomo.
woman  : unotshe impundu zelawu , asoze . ( it can't be ) , utata huh utata kabani ?
Zanele  : ubaba wami ma . ( my father mam )

the woman just stood up as she left . I was all alone there with my father .

Mandilakhe  : uphi umama wakho ?

that statement really confused me alot , moss my mom died while giving birth to me . just as I was lost in my thoughts siphokuhle appeared . I could not breath properly as I fainted .

Mandilakhe  : siphokuhle yintoni umntana wafainta esobona wena.
