Benjamin pov♧

"Hi bro, why are you here?" I asked in surprise.

"I just came here to see the new students who have joined our college," Lucas replied.

Lucas pulled his chair next to mine and sat down. "I have a surprise for you," I said, before handing him a stack of forms filled with student information.

"What is it?" Lucas asked, his expression curious.

"Just take a guess," I said, grinning.

"Benjamin," he sighed, "never mind, I won't ask you again."

My expression fell at his words. "Come on, why not? Just take a guess," I replied, pouting slightly.

"No, just hand me the student information," he said with a poker face.

"Alright, fine. Luna came in for admission today," I replied with a big smile.

"What? Why on earth is she here?" he asked, clearly confused.

"She came for admission, and she even apologized for her past mistakes," I replied.

"Is she really going to study here?" he asked in disbelief.

"Yes. Do you have a problem with that, Lucas?" I asked.

"Obviously, yes," he replied.

"Well, whatever. I like her, and soon I'm going to make her mine," I said, flashing a broad smile.

"Benjamin, may I ask you something?" Lucas asked, trying to hold back his laughter.

"Yes," I replied.

"Do you even have taste in women?" he blurted out, finally bursting into laughter, leaving me clearly offended.

"What's wrong with her, Lucas? She's cute, small, and bold-all at the same time! Literally my type," I said with a huff.

"Alright, alright, sorry, bro, but I just can't wrap my head around calling her *cute*," he said, barely holding back a laugh, teasing in every word.

I flipped my finger off and stuck out my tongue, showing just how little I cared about his words.

"Benjamin, you know what? You're really a stress buster," he said with a chuckle, clearly enjoying himself way too much.

"I'm a bodyguard, Lucas! You should remember that instead of making fun of me like this and damaging my reputation," I said, annoyed.

"Do you even *have* any kind of reputation, Ben?" he blurted out, before bursting into uncontrollable laughter, slapping the table like it was the funniest thing he'd ever heard.

I raised an eyebrow, clearly fed up with his teasing. "Lucas, you need to come up with something better. That joke wasn't funny," I said, attempting to shut his mouth.

"Because, dude, your life already looks like a joke, that's why I can't stop teasing you," he said with a playful grin.

"Go ahead, make all the fun you want, my dear Lucas, but just remember one thing-I'm going to live happily with Luna, and you're going to witness it with your own two eyes," I said, my voice bold and defiant.

"First, win her over, and then we can discuss the rest," Lucas said.

"I'm trying, man. She said she'd call me later," I replied.

"Well, enjoy," he responded casually, resting his legs on the table and leaning back in his chair, completely indifferent to my feelings.

Suddenly, my phone rang, snapping Lucas out of his relaxed state.

“It’s Luna,” I said, glancing at him.

“Answer it, and put it on speaker!” he urged, suddenly wide-eyed with excitement.

I nodded, my heart racing as I swiped to answer and hit the speaker button.

“Hello, Luna,” I said, trying to keep my voice steady.

“Hi, Ben,” she replied, her voice sending a jolt through me.

“What’s up, Luna?” I asked, a bit uncertain.

“Nothing, Ben... I’m just confused,” she replied,“You were with that Skywalker at the club—the one with that duck-like expression. And then again, here at the academy. But why did he look so angry? When i freeze you? I just... I don’t get it,” she said, her voice trailing off, confusion written all over her face.

"Oh, I see. And please, don’t mention to him that I asked about him, okay?" she requested, her tone almost pleading.

"Y-yeah, sure. I won’t say a word," I replied, once again repeating Lucas' words after he silently mouthed the same instruction to me.

I ended the call and looked over at Lucas. He stood up slowly, his expression darkening as he began circling around me.

“Does she know you were the one who stalked her account and took all the information?” he asked, his voice low, laced with a dangerous edge.

“N-no, bro, why are you asking me like this?” I stammered, swallowing hard, feeling a knot of anxiety tighten in my chest.

“Then how come she asked about me?” he questioned, his eyes narrowing as he continued to circle around me.

“Oh, that’s actu—" I tried to explain, but he cut me off sharply.

“Let me guess, being all love-sick and love-struck, you just melted after seeing her and spilled any information about me?” he growled, still pacing around me, his voice growing more intense with each step.

"Bro, that’s because she memorized my face at the club! Like, seriously, I’m unforgettable!" I shouted, raising my voice before Lucas could cut me off again. "That’s why she remembered me and asked about you. Not because I’m all love-sick or anything!" I added.

“I see,” he muttered as he moved behind me, his grip tightening around my throat, not enough to choke but just enough to send a clear message as he bought his mouth closer to my ear as he spoke.

“And don’t you dare let out anything about me to her in the future,” he growled, his voice as dark and deep as the Pacific Ocean.

“Sure, dude, I won’t,” I managed to say, trying to stay calm. “But you know... you could say all this while standing in front of me. Or... are you thinking of trying something romantic?” I added, my voice strained, trying to keep a brave front despite the situation.

“Eww, romantic with you? I'd rather die than do that!” he scoffed, his voice returning to its normal tone as he finally released me and flopped back into the chair.

That’s when I let out the most precious breath of my life, gasping dramatically like I had just survived a near-death experience. “Ahh, air! Sweet, sweet air!” I said, clutching my chest, making it all the more ridiculous.

He let out a laugh.
