♡Luna pov♡
"Andrea, before Lucas arrives, I need to leave," I said, my voice tinged with urgency.
"Why?" she asked, her eyebrows knitting together in concern."I can't deal with lucas anymore, Andrea," I sighed, feeling the weight of exhaustion settle over me.
"So, kindly..." I paused mid-sentence, offering her a sheepish smile, unsure of how to continue.
"Don't even think about asking me to use my powers again," she snapped, crossing her arms with an annoyed look, as if anticipating what was coming.
"Please, Andrea, just this once," I pleaded, my voice softening as I gave her my best puppy-dog eyes.
"You guys are acting like a married couple," Ben teased, bursting into laughter.
"Don’t worry, Andrea. If you get drained from using too much energy, I’m here to boost you," he added with a playful wink in her direction.
I couldn’t help but laugh at their banter, the tension easing for just a moment.
Andrea rolled her eyes but smiled slightly. She extended her arm, her fingers glowing faintly as she channeled her power. "Take care," she said softly, her voice laced with a mixture of affection and exasperation.
With a final wave, she transmitted me back to my room in an instant. The familiar surroundings materialized around me as a light shimmer marked the end of the teleportation.
I quickly changed into a soft, comfortable dress, letting out a sigh of relief as the fabric brushed against my skin. The weight of the day seemed to slip away as I sank into my bed, pulling the blanket over my legs. Reaching for my phone, I opened Instagram, mindlessly scrolling through posts. Suddenly, a notification popped up, interrupting my thoughts.
Lucas: Why did you leave so soon?
I groaned inwardly, my fingers hesitating over the keyboard. Of course, he'd notice. With a slight roll of my eyes, I began typing a response.
Me: Why? What's your problem with that?
I hit send, a mix of frustration and curiosity bubbling up inside. I tossed my phone onto the bed, staring at the ceiling, wondering how Lucas always seemed to get under my skin.
Lucas: I just missed you.
His reply popped up, and I couldn’t help but laugh. It was so typical of him to try and be sweet, catching me off guard.
Me: But I don’t.
I typed back quickly, knowing full well it was a lie. My heart raced slightly as I stared at the screen, waiting for his response.
Lucas: Oii, pretty liar.
His words made me bite my tongue, a small wave of guilt mixed with amusement washing over me. He always had a way of reading through my words, seeing right through me.
Me: Yes, I am
I texted back, smirking to myself, imagining the expression he’d have if he saw me right now. My fingers lingered on the screen as I hit send, a playful spark lighting up inside me, despite trying to play it cool. The back-and-forth between us always felt like a dance, one I couldn’t help but enjoy.
