Giggles filled the room again as the conversation slowly steered back to Marjie and her little date. The bickering between Charlotte and Marjorie filled the room with a certain familiarity as the two women had known each other for over a decade now. At least, it was familiar for Char and Marj. Jealousy washed over Autumn as she was left with her own thoughts.

“I can deal with the fact that she doesn't want to be with me, I came to terms with that a while ago and I can love her from the side lines, but I thought we were at least good friends. Why would she tell Charlotte and not me? Did she even think about me? This shouldn't even bother me, I never care about things like this. I can love her from the side lines. I can love her from the side lines. I don't need her to love me back.”

At this point Marj's nerves settled, surely Aut wasn't mad at her, she was overthinking it last time she felt like she'd upset her friend and Autumn had quickly calmed those worries in her brain. It wasn't often someone could calm Marjorie, her mother had taught her how to constantly worry, practically battering exactly how she needed to act into her brain to the point that Marjorie constantly worried she was crossing lines that only ever existed in her mother’s head. She wasn't allowed to eat too much or too little, be too loud or be too quiet, and she most certainly wasn't allowed to show any sign of having a personality. Quiet, calm and respectful is what Marjorie needed to be 100% of the time without fail or falter, otherwise she wasn't allowed out her house until Francesca Van Gould felt her behaviour had been corrected sufficiently. All of this affected how Marjorie grew up and still affects her now, most noticeably in her friendships, always worrying someone was displeased with her behaviour but was choosing not to say anything. The only person who had managed to settle her loud brain was Autumn, so Autumn couldn't be mad at her, she'd say something if she was.

Everything is okay.

Mia walked in and immediately noticed Auts glossed over eyes. That was all the confirmation she needed. Her worries from the night before had happened and once again she arrived a little too late to help her sister.

Always just a few minutes too late.

Maybe that's why Autumn resented her, she could have done something if she was just a little bit faster.

"Hey marj-...Marjorie" stifling her urge to call her Marjie like Dave had done on that Saturday night as Charlotte was in the room with them and she didn't want her sweetheart to get in trouble for telling her about this silly little nickname.

"Um Siobhan is here for a meeting she has with you...do you want me to tell her to get lost?"

"No...no...i uh...set this meeting up, i need to have a chat with her.

"You what?" the three girls questioned in unison. Marjorie willingly wanted to see Siobhan? Shibby? The Wicked Witch of the West?

"Off you go you two, this is a private meeting, Aut you can stay, Siobhan wants to talk to you too."

"Actually Autumn.." Mia always fully named her, she knew Aut hated nicknames, Another reason she knew what was going on in Auts mind, she knew much more about Autumn then people seemed to know. This fact was one of the reasons Mia had clocked onto the growing relationship between the manager and deputy, Marjorie seemed to get off scar free after calling her "Aut".

"Can I speak to you for a second?.... outside?”

“Is it important or is it going to be as boring as your mediocre insults?”

“Your curiosity will have you out of the door whether you find it interesting or not, now come on.”

Mia lets Marj know she'll send Shibby in and take autumn outside for a second, trading places with siobhan.
