A/N - TW implied rape and abuse.

Monday.

Monday, the start of the next week of work rolls around and Marjorie, as usual, strolls in late to work.

This time is different, Autumn looks up to try to greet her, wanting the day to start off well as the pair had a lot to discuss after the flirtations that occured at the bar the week before. The pair hadn't spoken to one another since then. However, Autumn was surprised to see Dave, clenching Marjorie’s hand in his, walk in alongside the quiet woman.

The quiet woman.

She was so distant, her mind obviously not in the same room as them. Marjorie was a shell of herself, solitary and empty, obviously just trying to make it through the day with what little energy she had left.
She had become a doll, a walking talking sex doll. Her mind was left in Dave's bedroom, along with her dignity.

She knew she'd always end up back in that bedroom, living through it all again, so why bother leaving. Her body could wander as far as it wanted but her thoughts were always lingering back where she lost herself and any hope she had for finding her soulmate.

She was her mother's daughter.

Dave's unwavering grasp on Marjorie was both physical and mental. That hand in hand, that was supposed to represent a pair's love for each other, represented his hold over his captive.

Over his victim.

Over his statistics.

Although they hadn't spoken properly since the bar, Autumn was well aware of the shift in Marjorie’s personality, and the whole interaction. Something had gone severely wrong that night after the bar.

She wasn't there to protect her, instead Autumn was doing everything she wanted to do to Marjorie with another woman in an attempt to forget about how much she loved her.

She couldn't hide it anymore, Autumn couldn't sit there and pretend that her feelings for Marjorie weren't stronger than she had originally imagined. She wanted to take Dave's place in Marjorie’s hand but instead of claiming the woman as her own, she wanted to show off what she was lucky enough to call her lover.

As Marjorie sat down, ready to start another day of work which would be erased from her mind when she got back home and endured more of Dave's persistent beatings and “love”, Dave leant into her to whisper yet another thing in her ear. He should have been more careful, this time he wasn't out of earshot from Autumn. That's what he loved, the danger of teasing his toy in front of his master's daughter, he could get caught, but what was Autumn going to do?

She was too scared and frail to save her own brother.

She wouldn't do anything to put herself in danger with her father again.

Dave leans into Marjorie, whispering something he really should have left for a later date because Autumn really was like a dog, she had immaculate hearing.

“Why don't you flirt back and show your little friend who you belong to, you filthy slut. You liked me like this the other night didn't you baby?”

Aut's eyes widened and her head slowly turned to the couple, a rage filling up her body. He dared to speak like that to Marjorie in Autumn's presence. He dared to speak to her like that at all.

What the fuck did he just say to her?

Sweet Marjorie?

“Why would he feel the need to s-?” Aut's thoughts were interrupted by a memory … Her flirting at the bar…. surely he didn't feel the need to …”claim” Marjorie….right? Marjorie was someone you needed to be gentle with. She deserves love not……. not this again.

Again.

Marjorie was no longer a single statistic.

This wasn't the first time she'd been treated like this.

A man by the name of Liam Johnstone had the nerve to treat Marjorie like this in the past too. He was now missing 3 fingers and had to have a mental rod put into his spine to help him walk.

How could Autumn be so blind?

She promised herself she'd look after Marjorie if this was to happen again. Instead she found herself in bed with another woman.

She could have helped.

Reece was supposed to help.

Reece was always protecting Autumn when they were little, she prayed that it would continue into the afterlife.

Little did she know, his death had taught her enough to protect herself in moments like this.

Now she just needed to apply what she had learned to her love for Marjorie.

If only she had heard Dave's threat at the bar.

Marjorie felt Autumn's eyes on her and tensed up at the feeling, she loved when Autumn looked at her but this..

This was different.

Marjorie's body flooded with an uncomfortable and, without a word, spoke everything it needed to. Autumn knew, in that moment, that if it was up to her, Dave's body would be found in a wooded area, unrecognisable.

Much like he'd left the shell that was once Marjorie.

“Excuse me but my colleague here needs to work, do you think you could leave these antics until after work? Thank you.”

“You ain't the boss of me, darling.”

Dave obviously didn't have his head screwed on that day. Aut stood up, matching his height, and uttered one sentence that sent chills down Marjorie's back.

Good chills. She was safe.

For now.

“You obviously didn't hear me, you are going to leave the premises NOW and let My Marjorie work, you can continue your flirting at a later date, otherwise I am going to grab you by the scruff of your neck and drag you outside so every single woman in this area is humiliated to be seen with you. Got it?”

“My Marjorie?” Marjorie thought to herself, desperately trying to figure out if that was on purpose or if it was just in the heat of the moment, as her boyfriend was being humiliated in the car park of the nursery.

Autumn would have killed him in that car park if it wasn't for the children that were walking past to get to the nursery.

She wouldn't corrupt those poor babies as she had been corrupted by Roger.

Death isn't something they deserve to see so young.

Death wasn't something Autumn deserved to see so young.

Marjorie knew she was going to have to answer a lot of questions when her sweetheart got back into the office, but for now she was enjoying the show Autumn was putting on for her. Enjoying watching the way Autumn's body moved as she manoeuvred around the monster that had hurt her.

It was turning her on a little.

At that moment, Marjorie's mind wasn't in Dave's bedroom.

It was un Autumn's.

Marj still seemed pretty on edge around Aut when she made her way back to the office and neither of the women couldn't figure out why.

At the end of the day, after a long day at work and a few awkward moments between the women as they tried to figure out how to approach everything running in their minds, Marjorie got a phone call from Dave and agreed to go to his later, even if her body seemed completely against it.

To Marjorie, she didn't have a choice.
