This was one of the coldest morning we've had this winter so far. It was early December and the snow had only just started covering the town.
Dean was sat at his workplace rubbing his hands together starring down at the plain piece of paper before him. He sighed and settled on the fact that he just wasn't gonna get anything done in this weather.
He packed his bag and put it over his shoulder before walking over to the exit.
The cold air smacked Dean on the face causing him to pull his coat on tighter, he slowly dragged his feet through the snow and down the street to the local Startbucks.
Once inside the coldness he once felt was replaced with warm, cozy heat that had soft holiday music playing lightly in the background. Quiet chatter was spoken throughout the café as Dean made his way to the counter.
"Good morning, what can I get you?" A dark hair woman smiled, her name tag read Meg. "Morning and can I have one large Caramel Macchiato?" I smiled back "of corse" she replied before talking to the next customer.
His drink in hand Dean made his way over to a table where he set out his blank piece of paper again, he sipped on his drink and starred at the paper once again.
After 10 minutes of just starring he finally sighed, rubbing his temple. Dean looked around the café, hoping to find some inspiration when his eyes landed in a tall, dark sex haired, skinny, blue eyes coffee boy that was cleaning up a table.
Dean picked up his pencil and started drawing. The coffee boy had finished cleaning the table and settled on chatting with Meg in between orders.
Once happy with the outline Dean started shading. He didn't lift his head again until he had finished his work and smiled, pleased with himself.
"That's beautiful" he heard, he looked up to face the inspiration of his art work, coffee boy. "Thank you" Dean smiled back.
His drawing was of coffee boys face, mainly his eyes, all sorts of blues and whites in them with a light pink shading his face and nose. "Would you like another drink?" He asked, Dean noticed coffee boys name tag now that he was closer. "I would love one, Castiel" he smiled into those oceans called eyes. Castiel blushed and returned to Meg.
When Castiel returned he was smiling again "have you done others?" He asked, referring to Dean's work. Dean smiled before pulling out the rest of his old art works. Castiel sat opposite Dean and gazed at the papers being placed in front of him, Dean sipped quietly at his drink as he waited. After looking at them all he smiled again "they're beautiful" Dean smiled back "so are you" Dean didn't have time to realise what he had said before Castiel was blushing again "thank you" he smiled lighting avoiding Dean's gaze.
"As are you,-" he paused locking eyes with Dean again "Dean" he replied "Dean" Cas repeated. They smiled at each other for a while before Dean had to go back to work and Cas had to bust more tables.
They bid farewells and parted their ways. Dean, into the on coming snow and Cas, back behind the counter.
