The next day Dean didn't make it to the coffee shop that morning, he was running late.
Charlie came and sat with him as he drummed his pencil on the desk. "Who is this guy you keep drawing anyway?" She asked picking up a piece.
Dean took it from her hands and placed it back down in its place "some guy that works at Starbucks" he mumbled "you seeing him again?" She winked, Dean rolled his eyes but smiled "I dunno Charlie" she smiled back before jumping back off the table and over to her own work.
The art exhibition was only a few weeks away and Dean hadn't even started on his final piece, he knew what he wanted to make but he didn't know how to make it.
Charlie had settled on a hobbit theme, as she's a huge geek and can't keep it in her pants.
Benny, Dean best friend from college, was doing a forrest, vampire, monster like theme.
Stan, Charlie's 'brother from another mother' had chosen a cute winter theme with the birds and the bees.
And Penny, the city girl, was of course doing New York, home.
Dean sighed and bit at his pencil before sketching his art work down.
He kept drawing it differently, unhappy with each piece. His table was soon filled with crunched up scrap paper and rubber sharpenings. (I think that's what it's called)
----
Around 1 Dean went on his break and headed for his coffee boy.He again ordered the same drink and took the same seat.
He waited for Castiel.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Meg was finally free and skipped over "Castiel left an hour ago, he wasn't feeling too good" she smiled lightly before skipping off again.
Dean sighed and rested his head in his hands, finishing his drink.
He felt as blue as the weather.
Dean put his cup in the bin and made his was back to the studio.
Feeling a little less merrier.
Dean Castiel was all Dean could think about. He was all Dean could draw about. Everywhere he went he saw those memorising ice blue eyes starring back at him.
He shook his head and pulled his coat over him more. The snow coming in much more with each step he took.
Dean wished the snow would just stop so he didn't have to walk everywhere, he could drive his baby but she won't go in this weather.
She's been kept at Bobbys shop until Dean comes to collect her but for now all he can do is hope.
-----
Dean was lost in thought as he reached the studio. He took the stairs to the top and silently took his seat once again.
"How's coffee boy?" Charlie asked smiling brightly at him "he wasn't there" Dean sighed, picking up his pencil and sketching once again. Charlie's smile dropped "you do have his number though right?" Damn.
It's been three days since Dean met coffee boy and he still hasn't got his number.
"No Charlie, I forgot" he sighed, putting his pencil down and starring at the art "you should take him to the exhibition on the 24th, he'll love it" she smiled once again, looking at his work also.
Dean thought about this for a while.
Maybe he should bring Cas, I mean he has been drawing him even since he laid his eyes on him busting that table.
Meg said that Castiel loves his work so he'll love the exhibition piece Dean's made for him, made about him.
He nodded his head in agreement and started working once again, he needed this to be perfect. Every last detail had to be perfect because well, Castiel was perfect.
He'll ask him when the times ready. When they've been out more. But for now Dean will quietly watch him from afar.
And he must remember to get Cas' number.
