As she continued to crawl through the narrow vents, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. The darkness seemed to take on a malevolent presence, pressing down on her from all sides. The air was thick with the stench of decay, making her gag with each breath she took.
Memories of the creature that had chased her flooded Rachel's mind. Its twisted form, with jagged claws and glowing red eyes, haunted her every thought. She could still feel the cold touch of its breath on her skin, sending shivers down her spine.
A sudden noise ahead caused Rachel to freeze in her tracks. She strained her ears, trying to make out the source of the sound. It was a low, guttural growl, unmistakably coming from the creature that hunted her. Fear gripped her heart as she realized that it was getting closer, its cruel voice echoing through the darkness.
Rachel knew she had to keep moving, had to find a way out before the creature caught up to her. With renewed determination, she pushed herself forward, crawling as fast as her trembling limbs would allow.
As she crawled on, the vents seemed to twist and turn in impossible ways. The darkness grew even thicker, threatening to suffocate her with its oppressive weight. But Rachel refused to give in to despair. She clung to the hope that she would find a way out, that she would survive this nightmare.
Suddenly, a faint light appeared at the end of the tunnel. Rachel's heart leaped with joy as she crawled towards it, desperate for a way out of this hellish place. The light grew brighter, casting shadows on the walls as she drew closer.
With one final push, Rachel emerged from the vents and tumbled to the floor, gasping for breath. She found herself in a dimly lit hallway, lined with portraits of long-dead residents. The air was thick with dust, making her cough as she struggled to her feet.
But as Rachel looked around, her relief turned to dread. The hallway seemed to stretch on forever, its twisting corridors leading off into darkness. She realized with a sinking heart that she was still trapped in the Manor, still at the mercy of the creature that stalked her.
As she stood there, trembling with fear, Rachel heard a familiar growl echoing through the halls. The creature had found her once again, its red eyes glowing with malice as it crept towards her.
