With a quick glance at Rachel, she pushed open the doors and they stepped inside, bracing themselves for whatever awaited them. The interior of Raven's Manor was like something out of a nightmare, with dark corridors and flickering candles casting eerie shadows on the walls.

As they crept through the labyrinthine halls, Sarah's mind raced with possibilities. They had to find a way to outsmart their pursuers, to turn the tide in their favor. With each room they entered, they searched for clues, for any sign of a way out of this nightmare.

Suddenly, they heard the sound of approaching footsteps, the cultists closing in on their location. With a quick look at Rachel, Sarah knew they had to act fast. Drawing on every ounce of courage she possessed, she made a split-second decision.

Run! she shouted, grabbing Rachel's hand and pulling her towards the nearest staircase. Together, they raced up the winding steps, their hearts pounding in their chests. They could hear the cultists hot on their trail, their sinister chants growing louder with each passing moment.

The adrenaline coursing through Sarah's veins fueled her determination to escape. She knew they were in grave danger, but she refused to let fear paralyze her. As they reached the top of the stairs, Sarah spotted a door slightly ajar. Without hesitation, she pushed it open and ushered Rachel inside.

The room they entered was bathed in a dim, eerie light. Dust motes danced in the air, giving the space a haunted feel. Sarah scanned the room, searching for any means of defense or escape. Her eyes fell on a window, its glass stained and cracked, but offering a sliver of hope for freedom.

Rachel, help me barricade the door, Sarah commanded, her voice steady despite the fear gnawing at her. Together, they pushed a heavy dresser in front of the door, hoping to buy themselves some time. Sarah then hurried to the window, her hands shaking as she tried to force it open.

The sound of pounding fists on the door made Sarah's heart race. She knew they couldn't stay in this room for long. With a final burst of strength, she managed to pry the window open. Cool night air rushed in, carrying with it a sense of urgency.

We have to jump, Sarah said, turning to Rachel with a determined glint in her eyes. It's our only chance.

Without waiting for a response, Sarah climbed onto the windowsill, the drop below looming like a chasm of uncertainty. She took a deep breath and leaped, her body plunging through the darkness. The ground rushed up to meet her, and for a moment, she was suspended in mid-air, feeling weightless and free.

Then, with a thud, Sarah landed on the damp grass below. Pain shot through her ankle, but she gritted her teeth and pushed herself to her feet. Rachel appeared beside her, breathing heavily but unharmed.
