Naruto's initiation had spread through Konoha's streets by morning. Word traveled fast in the underworld, and the fact that a newcomer had survived a brutal jump-in from Vatos Locos sent ripples through the gang circles. It wasn't just about surviving—it was the way he did it. The cold, emotionless way he fought back had people talking. But not everyone was impressed.
Across town, Uchiha Sasuke heard the news. He was part of the Orochi Boyz, a rival gang that ran a different part of Konoha. The Uchiha name carried weight in the streets—his family had been deeply entrenched in gang life for years. But Sasuke didn't give a damn about the family legacy. He was here for himself, to rise to the top, and no one—not even this new kid, Naruto—was going to get in his way.
"Who is this guy?" Sasuke muttered, standing in the dimly lit room of a gambling den, surrounded by his crew. He clenched his fists, anger simmering beneath his calm exterior. "He thinks he can just come into our city and act like he owns it?"
One of his lieutenants, Suigetsu, leaned against the wall, smoking a cigarette. "Word is, he's a cold bastard. Took a beating like it was nothing. Didn't even flinch."
Sasuke's dark eyes narrowed, his mind already working. He didn't need another problem in Konoha. Things were already tense with the Vatos Locos over territory disputes, and now this kid was stirring up trouble. Sasuke had no patience for people who got in his way. He was going to handle this, and he was going to do it violently.
"He's with Vatos Locos now," Sasuke said, the gears in his mind turning. "That makes him our problem."
Suigetsu grinned, his shark-like teeth showing as he flicked the cigarette away. "So what's the plan, boss?"
Sasuke turned away, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his leather jacket. "We send a message. A clear one. Konoha belongs to the Orochi Boyz. Nobody crosses us."
Meanwhile, Naruto was already making moves within the Vatos Locos. The respect he'd earned from surviving the initiation was a start, but he knew it wasn't enough. Kiba was the leader, but Naruto saw weaknesses—cracks in the leadership that could be exploited. Kiba was too focused on his reputation, too cocky. It left openings that Naruto planned to use.
He spent his days quietly observing, learning the ins and outs of the gang's operations. Drug runs, extortion, arms deals—it was all business, and business was booming. But it was chaotic. Rival gangs were always nipping at their heels, and Kiba's leadership was too reckless to hold it all together for long. Naruto knew he could do it better. He just needed time.
One night, as they sat in a dingy backroom counting money from their latest deal, Kiba slapped a stack of bills down in front of Naruto. "You did good today," he said, flashing that familiar cocky grin. "Stick with me, and you'll be rolling in this shit."
Naruto barely glanced at the money. "It's not about the money."
Kiba laughed. "What? You some kinda saint now?"
Naruto's eyes met his, cold and unreadable. "It's about control."
The room went quiet, and Kiba's smile faltered. He wasn't used to anyone in the gang talking to him like that, especially not a newcomer. But there was something about Naruto, something dangerous lurking beneath the surface, that made even Kiba hesitate.
"Control, huh?" Kiba leaned forward, narrowing his eyes. "You think you can handle this, tough guy? You ain't seen nothin' yet."
Naruto didn't blink. He'd seen enough violence in his life to know that control wasn't given—it was taken. And he planned to take it.
