The hall had turned into complete chaos and Wonwoo held her wrist in a tight grip. She gazed around the hall desperately finding a way out of his grasp. Wonwoo saw Hoshi getting injured by his peripheral view and he knew he had to rush towards him but he gazed at her who was in his grasp.
Wonwoo was all too aware that Hoshi was currently in the process of being severely beaten by Soobin and Yeonjun, despite been shot by them previously. However, he could not afford to release his tight grip on YN in fear of allowing the latter to escape from his grasp.
Suddenly, Miyeon emerged from the shadows, firmly grasping a baseball bat in her hands. Silently, she advanced towards where Wonwoo and Yn stood, both of them transfixed on the distressing spectacle of Hoshi.
Suddenly Miyeon stood in front of them making Yn's eyes widen. She had a smirk on her face as she held the baseball bat on her shoulder. "Yo, fox boy. As much as I admit you're handsome, leave my friend" she demanded and Yn's jaw fell in disbelief and surprise with a slight hint of fear.
Wonwoo was initially taken aback by Miyeon's audacious approach, silently contemplating her act of valor in confronting him. However, he quickly composed himself, his expression remaining stoic and emotionless, as he met her gaze head-on with a cold and unreadable stare. As for YN, a sense of fright surged through her, her concern for her friend.
Wonwoo smoothly pulled his gun from his waistband and pointed it towards her. Yn gasped in fear but Miyeon stood still with the same smirk. Wonwoo's grip on Yn's wrist tightened.
"What the hell? Yn your bleeding" Miyeon said while gazing at Yn in horror which made Wonwoo's gaze snap at Yn. Miyeon took this opportunity and swung the bat on his shoulder which made his grip on Yn loosened. Miyeon took this opportunity and dragged her away from him. The gun from his grip had fallen down.
With a guttural hiss of pain, Wonwoo reflexively clutched his shoulder, the impact of Miyeon's baseball bat landing forcefully on the target with a resounding smack. The pain flared through his body, causing him to momentarily stagger and grimace in discomfort.
Upon reaching the expansive mansion's exit, Miyeon and YN were aware that they had not completely escaped the clutches of this perilous situation. Their eyes fixated upon the vast and open property that yawned ahead, a daunting expanse that lay between them and ultimate freedom.
With a fierce determination etched upon her face, Miyeon firmly grasped YN's hand, their fingers intertwining in a firm grip of unspoken resolve. "We can do this" Miyeon muttered, her voice filled with unflinching determination. YN responded with a terse nod, her eyes fixated ahead, silently affirming her readiness to face whatever lay before them.
With a collective surge of adrenaline coursing through their veins, Miyeon and YN broke into a sprint, their footsteps quickening in a synchronized rhythm. The wind whipped past them as they bounded through the expanse of the vast property, their bodies moving in a blur, propelled by the urgency of their escape.
The sound of distant footsteps resounding behind them sent a jolt of alarm through Miyeon and YN. Their hearts thumped in their chests with trepidation, their minds racing with the possibility of it being either the members of Seventeen or the mansion's guards in pursuit.
As YN glanced behind, her eyes met the sight of Yoshi and Asahi, both bearing visible signs of injury but resolutely pushing themselves to maintain the sprint. A flicker of relief washed over YN's face, her heart feeling momentarily lighter at the sight of their familiar figures trailing behind.
