"How are you?" Beena asked Rehaan and Shahwar stared at her husband how he smiled at her like he had never before.

"Good. And you?" Shahwar felt like Rehaan had forgotten that she was standing there too.

"We're both good." The man next to Beena said and Rehaan smirked at the response.

"You came with someone?" Beena asked looking at Shahwar who was feeling anxious more than ever right now.

Rehaan tightened his hold on Shahwar's waist all of a sudden, "My wife. Dur e Shahwar." He didn't look at Shahwar which made her feel like he'd brought here for a show knowing that Beena would be here with her husband who was probably the man next to her.

"Congratulations Rehaan. It's so nice to meet your wife here like this." She looked at Shahwar with a smile.

"She married you?" Beena's husband looked shocked.

"Faraz." Beena gave her husband a side eye while Rehaan ignored the comment.

"Baby you know he's incapable of having anyone normal in his life, I'm just concerned about the girl." Shahwar noticed her husband had only been talking and responding to Beena and not Beena's husband at all.

"I'm sure Dur e Shahwar is lucky to have Rehaan." Beena pressed a smile at them.

Her chest was hurting because she knew that she could never be the woman who was in front of her. Now that she had seen Beena herself she looked at herself and saw how different they both were physically. Shahwar was tiny, skinny and scrawny with basically no curves on her body whilst Beena was well defined as a woman with her body. Beena had attractive facial features and Shahwar was just bland as she thought of herself.

No wonder her husband was still in love with the woman. Though Beena looked very happy with her own husband, Shahwar felt envious of Beena. Her own husband was in love with her and even Shahwar's husband was in love with her.

"I've got to meet a few people, I'll be off." Rehaan said to the couple in front of him. A couple that looked like they were too involved in each other and didn't care about anything else.

Rehaan walked to the center of the area where he spoke with a few more people and introduced Shahwar to them.

Shahwar had never felt so ugly her whole life the way she was feeling now. When Rehaan left to talk to Ibaad about something for a few minutes Shahwar kept on glancing at Beena behind. A while later she asked someone for the route to the restroom and went inside it.

The mirror in front of her made her more aware of herself. She touched her face and then she looked at her body again. This face and body was the reason he'd never ever even look at her. She'd dressed herself up like a fool. He was right when he had called Shahwar foolish and right when he had said that she was silly.

Foolish and silly to spend time to make herself look presentable for a man who'd never even think she was capable of being looked at. Then she moved out of the restroom feeling drastically worse. "Shahwar!" Rehaan came almost running towards her in the corridor of the hotel.

"Are you alright? Where did you go for so long?" He held her face in his hands looking seemingly worried and out of breath.

Shahwar just had her eyes blinking at his face, too exhausted internally to say something as she felt numb.

"Tell me Shahwar what happened?" His words grew softer and his agony intensified looking at his wife's suddenly blanked out eyes. She was quiet and kept moving her eyelids blinking at him.

"Okay, okay, we'll go home." He said taking her hand and walking towards the exit. The car came at once and they were on their way back in no time. Rehaan became more strained looking at his wife's condition during the car ride. When they got home he walked up to the bedroom and she went behind him aimlessly staring at the floor.

"Come here." He pulled her into his lap as he sat on the bed the moment they both were inside the room.

"Did someone say something to my wife?" He started caressing her hair knowing her eyes were screaming that something had happened but in silence.

She shook her head. "Was it me? Did I do something to hurt my Shahwar?" She didn't respond at that even with a head shake.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Shahwar please tell me what happened." He didn't know it was the interaction with Beena that had caused this because he'd felt nothing looking at the woman he had once loved when he saw her tonight. She didn't even feel important to him anymore. For the first time in a very long while he'd felt like Beena didn't matter to him. On the contrary his wife was the only one who was right now circling his mind.

When there was no answer again he started rubbing her back slowly, "I'm sorry, you're not unimportant, you're not stupid and you're not silly. My wife's none of that. My Shahwar is the most important person in my life, she's smart and very kind. Now tell me what made my pretty wife upset?"

"I'm pretty?" She had finally spoken after almost an hour and he was shocked at the response in disbelief.

"My Shahwar is the most beautiful." He couldn't even imagine how she thought that she wasn't.

"You're being honest, right?" She nodded lightly for confirmation.

"I've never lied to you my darling." His heart clenched at the lie about buying her workplace as he said those words but the heartbreaking look on Shahwar's face could make him do anything right now.

"Okay." He pulled her to him and hugged her tightly, she rested her head on his shoulder feeling a little better now.

What had made her think she wasn't beautiful? He'd only left her for a couple of minutes to talk to his business associates and when he came back she was nowhere to be seen. Her phone and clutch was found where he'd last left her. He'd been looking all over the hotel with the security guards when he saw her coming out of the corridor looking completely distraught.

"Wait here," he smoothed her hair on her face, "I'll get dinner to the room, you haven't eaten." He moved her to the bed and took off her heels then stood up to go down and get food.

"Aap ne kha liya khana?" She was asking to know what was there for dinner at the hotel that she had missed out on.

(Have you eaten?)

"Mien toh apni biwi ke saath hi dinner karta hoon, apko pata hai na Mrs Kazmi." She finally gave him the smile he'd been missing so much since days.

(I only have my dinner with my wife, you know very well about it Mrs Kazmi.)
