Wishing good night to the chef Shahwar walked out to leave and suddenly bumped into someone near the restaurant entrance. "Je suis vraiment désolé. Excusez-moi."

(I'm so sorry. Excuse me.)

"Dur e Shahwar?" She looked up to see the familiar face.

"Khizer?" She smiled in surprise.

"What a beautiful coincidence it is." He grinned back at her. "How are you?"

"I'm good. I work here actually." She bit her lip.

"Oh. Well of course you do. I came for a little trip with my friends. Lucky day that I met my schoolmate here." Shahwar chuckled. "So won't you tell me about places to visit here that you know of?" He gave her a wink and it made her laugh.

"Khizer we both know you've been to France on a yearly basis." She narrowed her eyes at him.

"You overestimated my luxuries love." Khizer folded his hands on his chest and smiled.

"Khizer Sultan, are you a victim of adversity you mean?"

"I sure am. Baba is currently making sure I get the least of my allowance." She knew the least he was mentioning was more than her half a year's salary. Shaking her head she rolled her eyes.

"You gotta believe it love. How about we go for dinner and I tell you all about it?" Khizer proposed.

In the meantime Rehaan had come to surprise his wife that evening to pick her up on his way from work and his steps halted when he saw her talking to some boy who looked basically underaged, with big smiles on her face.

He walked inside and cleared his throat to turn their attention towards him, "Rehaan? What are you doing here?" She was not expecting him to be there.

"I came to pick you up." He curtly smiled and then looked at the weird boy standing too close to his wife.

"Who's the serious grim reaper guy?" Khizer whispered to Shahwar.

"My husband." She whispered back.

"You got married, why too soon love?" Khizer gasped saying it out loud.

Did he just call my wife, love? Rehaan moved close to Shahwar and placed his hand around her waist all of a sudden. "She did. And she's my wife. Not love."

Shahwar looked at Rehaan pursing her lips together trying not to react.

"Well your wife but I can't call her wife now, so she's love for me." Khizer said cheekily like Rehaan's words were nothing.

Before Rehaan could threaten him for his life Shahwar finally broke in between, "Rehaan, this is Khizer Sultan. My schoolmate."

"We were also together in college." Khizer added. It sounded more like they were together as a couple in college from his mouth to Rehaan.

As if Shahwar could read her husband's mind she again spoke before things could take a serious turn, "We attended the college together Rehaan."

"I know, I got it the first time too." He huffed.

Khizer extended his hand for a shake and Rehaan held it firmly giving it a solid shake. "Rehaan Kazmi."

"Are you Hassan bhai's business partner?" He asked.

"You're Hassan's brother?" Rehaan asked instead of answering.

"The youngest and the most gorgeous one." He stated like a proud boy and Shahwar laughed. Rehaan looked at his wife feeling envious that she'd never laughed at anything he'd ever said.

"So love how about that dinner?" Khizer resumed his conversation from before Rehaan's arrival.

"What dinner?" Rehaan was getting furious.

"Uh, Khizer how about tomorrow? I just got off work and I'm kind of tired. I've got my off day tomorrow so..." Shahwar shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm game." Khizer beamed.

Rehaan hated his business collaborator's brother already.

"Okay then bye." Shahwar held Rehaan's hand tugging it for him to start walking out instead of throwing death glares at her friend.

"See you tomorrow love." Khizer called out from behind them as they exited the cafe and Shahwar smiled at him.

When they were inside the car Rehaan was seemingly quiet looking annoyed. "Don't go with him tomorrow." He came to the point directly.

"He's a friend. Only. And he's a good person Rehaan. Remember you said I could invite my friends here to introduce them to you?" She held his arm in both of her hands resting her chin on it.

"I don't like this friend." He replied not beating about the bush.

"Is it because he calls me love or is it because he is a boy and not a girl?" She asked putting on her cute smile.

"Both. You're not his love." She found her husband's face grow more irritated as he spoke.

"Whose love am I then?" She asked sweetly.

"You're my wife." The reply came and put Shahwar to silence.

"Okay. I won't go." She said after hearing the words.

The car stopped and they both got out to enter their house. Shahwar was quiet till the dinner and then once they were inside the bedroom she started rubbing her lotion on her legs before going to sleep. Rehaan entered the room and took off his sleeve cuffs and sat next to Shahwar.

"Sorry." His voice made her turn her head to him. "You can go and meet your friend, and even do whatever you want. I didn't mean to make you feel like I'm controlling you."

"But you said—" She didn't want to go against his will.

"And now I'm saying you should go. I mean it Shahwar." He gave a small smile to make her feel at ease.

"Are you sure?" She still wasn't certain.

"Yes. Now don't think about it." He got up to go for a shower.

They had been doing well ever since they had returned from the visit to Shahwar's house. It had been two months now.

I find it so funny that every time Rehaan Kazmi wants a girl, some comical guy is always there to compete with him

I find it so funny that every time Rehaan Kazmi wants a girl, some comical guy is always there to compete with him. Though let me tell you, he was never ever jealous of Faraz. He was always unbothered by him. This is the first time he's been jealous. Thanks to Khizer Sultan.🤣
