"There will be no divorce, ever. So think before you say yes." His view fixated on her.
"I've already said yes." Her voice and eyes were dim, too much for anyone to not notice.
"I'm a cruel man so don't you dare humiliate me if you get cold feet and...

"Shahwar." He shivered, as he walked to the terrace and stopped in his place reaching a closer position to her.
Dur e Shahwar looked at him, she felt nothing. Her life was over. It would be over now. The pain would end.
"Come down, please jaan." Rehaan's skin crawled in fear of her taking another step forward.
"Pyaar hi nahi kartay mujhe." She shook her head like a body without soul.
(You don't even love me.)
"Please mere paas aao meri jaan. Please." He knew it was too late now. Too late to say it. Now she'd never believe his words.
(Please come to me my love. Please)
"Kartay hi nahi." She wasn't talking to him. She was talking to herself. Blood was drying out through his veins seeing her.
(You don't at all.)
He slowly stepped a little closer not too much for her to notice and react in any way. "Please meri jaan please idhar aao, mere paas."
(Please my love please come here, to me.)
Shahwar looked at the ground below, it did feel like peace to finally be close to her end. Though her abba ji had died but he had died as an honorable man. Allah wouldn't be disappointed in Salman Nawaz's death. But what about her? Would her father be happy with her decision?
Rehaan saw her diverting her attention towards the view down from the terrace and at once jumped in her direction enclosing her body in his arms he pulled her down to him. Shahwar's body didn't seem to react to it. He held her to him pressing her face to his chest trying to believe she was there.
He was panting trying to hold himself as he breathed in her scent making him feel it was real and she was in his arms, he hadn't let her take another step forward. Shahwar's tears had finally halted. There was nothing inside her anymore to cry for. She hadn't jumped, but she was dead.
"Shahwar, meri jaan, meri jaan." Rehaan kept on breathing her name his face buried in her neck as he stood still holding her. Minutes later he lifted his head up and saw her face while he was looking for air to breathe she was immovable just looking at him with a deep void in her eyes.
(Shahwar, my love, my love.)
"What were going to do? Huh?" Tears rolled down Rehaan Kazmi's face for the first time in his life. "Kiske liye karnay wali thi yeh Shahwar? For whom?" He hugged her again and cried loudly, "Mien iss kaabil nahi hoon meri jaan, what were you about to do to yourself!"
(For whom were you able to do that Shahwar?
I'm not worthy of it my love,)
Rehaan walked back inside as fast as he could holding her glued to his body, too frightened to let her be out there again. Shahwar's body was hanging like a loose thread without any motion in it. He laid her down on the bed and then hugged her again never wanting to let her part from him. "I love you, I love you, I love you meri jaan, I love you Shahwar, meri jaan, meri jaan I love you." He cried heaving with his head on her chest.
He lifted his head to look at her, her eyes were dull, skin pale, she was not even reacting to anything he had said, just breathing barely with any sound. "I'm sorry, sorry, so sorry." Rehaan kissed her forehead and kept on apologizing with his mouth pressed there for a long time. He wept more when he'd raise his head a little and look at her lying there like a barely alive child.
"I'm sorry, Shahwar you're my life, mene neechay jhoot bola tha, I was angry I'm sorry. I only love you, there's no one else Shahwar. There's only you, it was always you, it will always be you, I have never loved anyone but you." She was hearing the words, just not accepting them anymore.
(I lied downstairs,)
"I'll get water for you." He sat up and then the image of her standing at the terrace to jump flashed across his eyes and he held her again, "No I'm not going, I'm not leaving." His face was hidden in her neck. He shivered all over. There was no way he'd let her out of his sight even for a second.
"It's okay. You can go. I won't do anything." She finally said without any emotion in her voice.
"Meri jaan." Moved his head up and held her face placing kisses all over it. "I'll call someone to bring water and food." Then smothered her face more gently sitting up.
(My love.)
Rehaan opened the bedroom door but his eyes were still at his wife who was unmoved on the bed in the same position she had been since he'd laid her down. He called out to the house staff and told them to send dinner to their room.
When the food was brought in Shahwar was still the same. She hadn't said anything after the one sentence. "Can you sit up just a little my love?" She was so numb she couldn't move even her hand a little at the moment, Rehaan pulled her up to let her back stay upright while he fed her. Shahwar couldn't eat more than a few spoons of the food and then lied back down. Her eyes closed on their own and very soon she was asleep, more like passed out due to the heavy stress and events of the day.
Rehaan sat with his eyes opened looking at her face as his tears were now unable to be held back. Even if he tried to, he couldn't even close his eyes for a moment, he couldn't now. He went on whispering apologies to her when she couldn't even hear them anymore.
He wished it could've been him, he wished the pain upon him. The same pain he had caused for her, he wished far worse for himself. A day ago he believed he was a husband who could understand his wife, he believed he could feel everything she wanted, he had been so wrong. He'd inflicted a terrible pain upon her that could now never be recovered. He knew it. And now he had to live with it.
