When I wake the next morning Chad is still sleep so I kiss him and slip out of the room. I go to the room my mom and dad are sleeping in and cuddle next to them. My mom rolls over and smiles at me.
"Talk time?"
"Yup"
My dad gets out of the bed and walks toward the door
"Yeeeaaahh I'm just gonna slip out, let you girls talk"
We laugh, my dad thinks "girl talk" is always about ponies and pink parties....you know really girly stuff like that.
"OK thanks honey"
"Thanks daddy"
Dad leaves and mom sits up excitedly
"So.....spill!"
"Spill what?" I say innocently
"About yesterday, I see you forgave him"
"Yeah. I decided to, I'm not going to lose a marriage over something like that. He's said he's sorry and won't do it again and that's all that matters, right?"
My mom smiles and pulls my head on her lap
"of course it is honey. If you believe he truly is sorry that's all that matters"
I smile
"I miss being able to talk to you all the time mommy"
"I know me too but I'm just a phone call away. You know you can always call me"
"Yeah I know"
"So........did you?"
"Did I what?"
"Have makeup sex?"
"Ma!!!!!!!" I say sitting up.
"So you did, that's why you were up there so long. I was like what in the world is taking so long and I don't hear yelling, they must be getting it on" mom laughed
I hugged her tight
"I love you mom"
"Love you too honey"
I left my moms room ready to talk to Jack just to get it over with. I walked in and jack was still sleep, I grabbed a cup of ice cold water and poured it on him. I couldn't stop laughing seeing him wake up to the freezing water.
"Oh come on, that's not funny"
"Yes it is" I laughed uncontrollably
"Your such a jerk" he laughed grabbing a towel and putting it over his clothes
"That was so cold"
"Your welcome!" I smiled
"Why are you even my best friend, you treat me like dirt" he said shivering
"No, I treat you like soil which you better be happy for because it's better then dirt"
"Haha OK, you got jokes"
"Always"
"So...what happened yesterday? "
"Well he's told me he's cheated on me and I forgave him"
"What?!!! You just fogave him?"
"He said he's sorry"
"Your my best friend and I love you but you have to know that once a cheater, always a cheater. He's going to cheat on you again"
"Jack I need you to know that I love him, he loves me. He's not going to do it again and I need you to promise to kinda try to deal with him, please.... for me"
Jack sighed.
"Fine. But I still don't like him"
" OK that's fine"
I held out my pinky finger
"Pinky promise me"
Jack looked at my pinky and laughed.
"I am not a girl, I'm not going to pinky promise you"
"Just do it, you whimp"
He smiled and attached his pinky to mine
"Fine, I pinky promise"
