Chapter 15: The bad turns worse

"Hey it's me"
"Aid? Please talk to me"
"Meet me at our spot in five, we can talk there." Click.
I knew exactly where Aiden told me to meet him. It was our favorite spot as kids because it was so cool. I ran out the door with chad annoyingly at my heels.
When I get to my car I turn to chad "you cant come, you know that.....right?"
"Uhhhhh what if-"
I stop his words by getting in my car and closing the door. I look at his sad face and sigh. I roll the window down. "I'll be fine ok?" I'll call you when I'm on my way back home"
" ok"
He walked back in the house and I sped off. I pulled up to our favorite spot which was an underground park. As kids we never understood how they could put a park underground but they did and it was amazing. I take the now creepy looking steps underground and walk towards aiden. It wasn't hard to spot him because he was right where we always are when we visit this park. When he sees me he gestures for me to come sit. I sit down next to him and stare at him.
He doesn't look at me he just keeps looking at the trees that was put there.
" remember when I tried climbing that tree but fell out and dad took out his handy first aid kit and operated on me right then and there?"
I laughed " all you had was a scrapped knee but dad was acting as if you were dying"
Aiden cracked a smile " that scrap hurt like hell"
" you were just being a big baby"
Aiden's smile faded " and dad helped you climb the same tree that same day just to prove we can still be on it?"
I smiled at the memory " yeah he was crazy but right, we didn't fall ever since then"
Aiden looked at me with sad eyes  "what happened to the Anna who used to tell me everything no matter what? You used to trust me"
I looked at him " I still do trust you"
" not enough obviously"
" aid, what do you wanna know? Just say it!" I said getting frustrated.
"What made you hate dad so much?"
"Ok one question at a time aid" I said nervous as hell.
" that was one question"
"Oh"
It was quiet for a second and then I couldn't hold on to the truth any longer......probably because aiden was piercingly staring at me.
"Aiden, dad was cheating on mom. I was just a child! confused....the worst part was I was in the back seat when he invited the lady into the car. He thought i was sleep but i could see them kissing. I really didn't know what to do so I kept it to myself but after awhile dad knew because of how much i hated being around him. as i got older i started to understand more of how gross dad was for that. I hated him more than i ever knew but Aid that was not the reason they split. He had never told her and went about things like it was ok. I was just a child, what was I gonna do? so I kept it to myself"
I looked over at aiden, who was completely shocked. "I'm sorry for keeping such a huge thing from you but I thought that it wasn't my place to tell you about something like that. Please forgive me...."
Aiden wasn't even looking at me, he was looking past me at something. I looked where he was looking and coincidentally it was my father with his new wife and kids. This is the first that I found out that he actually married his mistress. I looked back at aiden to tell him to not do anything stupid but aiden was already on his way over to him.
" I'm gonna punch his teeth in" he said loudly. I struggled to keep up with aiden because he was going so fast.
"Aiden slow down and you can't fight him, please don't"
" I'm not promising shit"
We got to him and for a second he didn't even recognize us.
"Aiden?!! Anna??!! Wow I haven't seen you two In a while"
" try ever since I could spell" aiden said dryly.
"Buddy, you know I had no control over your mom wanting me to leave"
"No? Funny! Because well me and Anna was just talking about how you was a dirty fucking cheater! Your a god damn liar! You told me it was just that some relationships don't work out but in reality you were cheating on mom!!"
Dad looked at me and sighed " you told him?"
Before I could say anything aiden spoke
" don't speak to her, and yes she told me. You know what's the funny part? I actually believed you when you told me that you were leaving because Anna wasn't nice to you-"
Aiden paused.
"Actually that really sounds like a bunch of bull when I say it out loud".
" I didn't mean to hurt you kids, I'm sorry"
"But you did and I advise you to go right now before I knock too many teeth out your damn mouth. Go be fake happy with your damn other family and never come to this park anymore. If I see you here, there will be problems, trust me!"
I don't know if it was because he didn't want anymore trouble or he was really scared of aiden but he grabbed his kids and wife and high-tailed out of there.
Aiden turned to me
" sis, I'm so sorry for blaming you for so long. I feel so stupid!"
" it's ok aid, I love you for it. You thought I was the reason they split. If I thought you did the same, I would've had the same reaction. I'm just glad we're ok"
He smiled "more then ok, I love you"
"I love you too. I'm glad the situation didn't go from bad to worst"
Aiden laughed " yeah I know"
