It’s late, and I’m finally getting a moment to breathe. My phone rings, and I see it’s from the office. I answer it, and my heart sinks as I hear the urgent tone on the other end. There’s an important meeting tomorrow that I can’t miss. I hang up and head to our room to tell Ayush.
“Ayush, there’s urgent work we need to attend to tomorrow,” I say, trying to keep my voice steady.
He looks at me with disappointment. “Oh my god, Amina, it’s supposed to be our honeymoon week. We should be taking a break, not thinking about work.”
“I know, but the office called. They said it’s urgent, and we need to go tomorrow,” I explain, feeling the weight of his disappointment.
Ayush sighs, running a hand through his hair. “I just wanted to spend the day with you, just us.”
“I know, Ayush. I want that too. But I can’t ignore this,” I say, feeling torn between my responsibilities and my desire to be with him.
He steps closer, cupping my cheeks with his hands. “Can we just have one day, Amina? Just you and me, no work, no interruptions.”
I lean into his touch, feeling the warmth of his hands. “I wish we could, but I have to go. How about we do our skincare routine together and then go to sleep? What do you think about that?”
Ayush shakes his head, a small smile playing on his lips. “No skincare, no work, just you and me.”
I smile back, wrapping my arms around his neck. “I know, but let’s make the most of tonight.”
He lifts me effortlessly, and I wrap my legs around his waist. I can’t help but laugh as he carries me to the bed, his eyes filled with love and mischief. He starts planting soft kisses all over my face, making me giggle.
“You’re so light,” he teases, his voice low and affectionate.
I smile, feeling the love and warmth between us. “And you’re so strong.”
He continues to shower me with kisses, each one making me feel more cherished and loved. “I love you, Amina,” he whispers between kisses.
“I love you too, Ayush,” I reply, my heart full.
After our playful moment, we head to the bathroom to do our skincare routine together. It’s a small ritual that brings us closer, and I cherish these moments. Once we’re done, I drag Ayush beside the bed so we can pray together. We kneel and offer our prayers, feeling a sense of peace and connection.
After praying, we cuddle up in bed, and I feel his arms wrap around me protectively. We drift off to sleep, comforted by each other’s presence.
I wake up to find Ayush blocking the sunlight from my face with his hand. He smiles down at me, and I can’t help but embrace him in a hug.
“Good morning,” he says softly, his voice filled with warmth.
“Good morning,” I reply, feeling a sense of contentment.
We get ready for work, deciding to wear our best office attire. I choose a sleek, navy blue dress that hugs my curves perfectly, paired with elegant pearl earrings and a matching bracelet. Ayush looks dashing in his tailored charcoal suit, crisp white shirt, and a deep blue tie that complements my dress.
As I’m adjusting his tie, I notice him staring at me with admiration.
“Do you want to say something?” I ask, smiling.
He grins, his eyes twinkling. “I just can’t get over how beautiful you are. Every time I look at you, I fall in love all over again.”
I blush, feeling a warmth spread through me. “You’re not so bad yourself, Mr. Handsome.”
