We could try and try again,
yet it would still be the same—
the pain within fighting
the battle of my needs and wants,
but I could never win
because you'll always be in the middle.I need you when I can't need anybody else,
and I want you because when I'm with you,
I can't see anybody else.
You and I together forever—
isn't that what we promised?Yet here I am,
half of our promise shattered,
your half the one that broke me.
I wander alone,
carrying our silence,
wondering why I feel
like the only thing broken.
