There are many gods who preside over the field of Love, as there are many different interpretations and types of Love. Romantic, familial, obsessive, pure, etc.

Carys is the Goddess of Pure Love, a being that loves freely and without restraint. She is also depicted as a war goddess, as there is nothing she is not willing to do when it comes to the protection and happiness of her loved ones. She is often seen at the side of the Goddess of War Belladite as a loyal lieutenant and companion. She is also a patron Goddess of Fertility as well as a purification goddess. Her love uplifts the souls of the downtrodden and helps them find a place to belong in her loving embrace.

However, for some unknown reason, Carys had disappeared from the world of Alamea, along with all of her followers

However, for some unknown reason, Carys had disappeared from the world of Alamea, along with all of her followers. Many scholars speculated that despite her love for all beings, the corruption of the world and humanity made her leave due to a broken heart, taking her followers with her to a heaven of her own making. Another theory was that she had been captured by a group of gods that wished to take her power for themselves as she was regarded as a very powerful being, with said gods' followers wiping out Carys's peoples and all mention of her name in order to help their patrons. No one is really sure how or exactly when the worship of Carys died out.

Her name would fall into obscurity up until those that had found relics of her decided to dedicate their lives to her for one reason or another. This would result in the rise of Carys's cults, with one of the more recent ones having been established 200 or so years ago in the Hesperus District called The Beloved Saints of Carys, a group that seeks to spread the loving doctrine of Carys and accepts those from all walks of life, even monsters that seek to change for the better and embrace peace.

An older sect is The Church of Carys, where the group practices a combination of purification rites and preaches love in their devotion to Carys... though many call them a sex cult due to how they perform rites through sexual activities and is the reason why any followers of Carys are thought to be members of a sex cult, even though sexuality is only one facet of the goddess's nature.

Another known sect is The Chivalric Order of Blys, a group that worships the warrior aspect of the goddess and are wandering warriors that seek to demonstrate their skills, generosity, and practice the teachings of Carys.

Despite being a member of The House of Life, Carys is a proud supporter and ally of the House of Death, and as such her garb represents this as she's typically depicted wearing dark gowns and having an almost Gothic aesthetic.
