Jimin’s eyes were dark and serious, his face showing no emotion as he stared at Namjoon. He stood there for a few moments, just watching his trembling omega, whose soft whimpers filled the room. When Jimin finally moved forward, Namjoon panicked, crawling backward until he hit the hard kitchen counter.
“Please… don’t,” Namjoon begged, his voice breaking with fear. But Jimin didn’t respond, taking another step until he stood right in front of him. He crouched down to meet Namjoon’s level, and the omega’s body shook in fear, expecting the worst. Before Namjoon could do anything, Jimin scooped him up, holding him in his arms. Namjoon struggled at first, trying to break free, but Jimin’s grip only tightened.
One stern look from Jimin was enough to make Namjoon stop. Being so close to his mate brought a small sense of comfort, despite his fear. Namjoon wrapped his arms around Jimin’s neck, burying his face into Jimin’s chest. The alpha’s scent calmed him a little, and for a moment, he forgot about the fear and pain that had consumed him.
Jimin, with Namjoon now quiet in his arms, carried him to the storeroom where he had been keeping him - his very personal prison. Jimin kicked the door open with a loud bang, snapping Namjoon out of his brief peace. He looked around, suddenly aware of where he was again.
Once inside, Jimin tried to place Namjoon on the bed, but the omega clung to him tightly, refusing to let go. Jimin hesitated, surprised. The omega who had been crying and begging him to stop just moments ago was now holding on like he didn’t want Jimin to leave. Jimin tried again to push Namjoon away being annoyed by the omega's tactics , but Namjoon only tightened his hold, nuzzling closer into Jimin’s neck. The sweet scent Namjoon gave off was making it harder for Jimin to think straight, his self-control slipping with each passing second.
Frustrated, Jimin finally pulled Namjoon off of him with more force. “Get off me, you filthy thing,” he snapped, his voice cold and angry. Namjoon’s scent was driving him crazy, clouding his thoughts, and Jimin couldn’t let himself lose control.
“Please, hyung… don’t leave me,” Namjoon whispered, his voice filled with desperation as he tried to reach for Jimin again. But this time, Jimin stepped back before Namjoon could touch him.
“Now you act all desperate like a slut, trying to get on my good side? Will you spread your legs now too?” Jimin mocked, his words dripping with bitterness.
Namjoon froze, feeling the weight of Jimin’s anger through his pheromones. His throat tightened, but he couldn’t say a word. He backed onto the bed completely defeated, curling into a ball with his arms around his knees. He couldn’t bring himself to look at Jimin anymore, the pain was too much.
Jimin stared at Namjoon one last time, and for a brief moment, guilt flashed in his eyes. He didn’t want to hurt Namjoon like this, but keeping his distance felt necessary to stop things from getting worse. Even so, this wasn’t the right way.
Without saying anything, Jimin turned and left the room, closing the door behind him. He walked away, but something was bothering him. He stopped mid-step, a thought hitting him. Turning back, he rushed to the storeroom and locked the door from the outside.
Breathing heavily, Jimin ran to his room. He stepped into the shower with his clothes still on, letting the water pour over him. He shut his eyes, hoping the water would wash away Namjoon’s scent that was still clinging to him, messing with his senses and making it impossible to think straight. He needed to stay in control.

Namjoon's POV
The sound of the door clicking shut snapped me out of my trance. How can someone be this cruel? The rejection from my own mate weighed so heavily on my mind and body, I could feel it everywhere. Pain coursed through every part of me, creeping into my veins like poison. It felt like my heart was being ripped apart, but who could I tell? Who would listen? If I could go back in time, I’d choose to stay hidden, curled up on that floor that was my home, my peace, instead of thinking about escape. Maybe that way, I could’ve saved Yoongi hyung and Jungkook hyung.
