"Hello?" I answered the phone. Hannah had just texted me, and asked to talk. I was feeling extremely tired before, but now all I could feel is the my pounding heart in my chest.

"Hey, Romeo." Hannah said calmly. My heart rate immediately decreased. She wasn't mad.

God, I'm so whipped right now. This girl basically just forgot about me for the past couple of months, and now I'm just forgetting about everything that's happened. Brooklyn would kill me if he knew what was happening, that's for sure.

"Hi, what's up?" I asked quickly. I didn't want her to get bored of the conversation and hang up.

"Wanna meet by the pier? And talk? I haven't seen you in a while, and I miss you."

"I miss you too." I smiled. "Sure, how about at like, 5ish?" I said.

"Sounds good." She replied. "How have you been though?" She asked cautiously. We used to be so close, and now we're so separated the conversation seems, almost forced.

"I've been good. What about you?" I replied.

"I've been good as well. My trip was fun."

"That's good. You'll have to tell me about it tonight."

"Yep. Listen, I've got to go. I'll talk to you later okay?"

"Sure, bye." I said. I hung up and mentally killed and praised myself.

That was probably one of the most awkward conversations, I've ever had in my entire life. But hey, it was still a conversation with her. And that's honestly all I could ask for.

I sat down on my bed. Suddenly no longer tired. My mind started to think about what she wanted to talk to me about tonight.

Had she met another guy on the trip? And wanted to tell me in person that whatever we had was over? My heart started to beat faster and faster.

No Romeo, calm down. She's probably going to tell you that being away for so long had mad her realize how much she missed you, and that she wants you back.

Doubt it.

I decided to get my mind off of everything by finishing watching The Purge.

My mind kept drifting to her. Thinking about when we watched The Conjuring. And she slept in my sweater. And she hugged me. And when we had our first kiss. All good memories. But I needed to get my mind off of Hannah for a couple of hours.

I grabbed my soccerball and put on running shoes. I didn't need to put on cleats and shinpads because I was just going to do some training by myself.

Since I met Hannah, I can't say I've gotten better at the sport I've always dreamed of playing. I needed to do some control practice, and I'd end it off with some conditioning. Because even though I was still insanely tired. I always wanted to do well.

Plus, coach was choosing first string for our game next week. And I needed to be on it.

First I passed the ball between pylons. To help my control. Then, I did some keep ups. I did it until I got up to 50. Three times. Then, I practiced shooting from different areas on the field. Doing it until I made it in each time. You never know what you'll need practice on, in game type situations.

I ended off my practice session running laps, doing ab workouts.

I looked at my phone and saw that it was already 3pm. That'll give me enough time to shower, take a quick nap, and head down to the pier in enough time.

It was going to be a good night.

I hope.
