"So, you're saying dad or aunt Miyoung might have this disease? And Hanbin got it?"

The couple shrugged their shoulders at Heeseung's question, also unable to tell the truth.

"Yo, if Hanbin has this disease thingy then, wouldn't it be possible for Sera to have it too?" Hyera asked through the video call.

The eldest child called Harin in time after Heeseung came back from work, and that was when the young parents was about to tell him of what happened.

She video-called just to talk to her niece. Too bad, the baby had fallen asleep, and now they were conversing about Hanbin situation at the living room.

"There could be a possibility–"
"Should we check Sera's health then?"

Heeseung rolled his eyes, "Can you just end the call and do your work? Why aren't you on the airplane, anyway?" He asked.

And the three of them stared at Hyera on the screen, walking around the airport in another country.

"I'm in Tokyo now, I'll fly to Seoul back tomorrow,"

The middle child snorted, "Jeez, what a boring job. Okay, we'll tell you the details of the problem someday if we remember."

"Don't tell me you're end–"
"Yes, I'm ending the call, bye," and before Hyera could say anything, the call was ended by Heeseung.

He mischievously grinned as he set Harin's phone aside on the coffee table and put his focus on the young couple again.

"Let's talk about this with dad."

The young couple glanced at each other upon Heeseung's suggestion.

"You mean, my dad, or your dad?" Hanbin asked, putting Heeseung in confusion.

"How many dads are we having here– oh! Uncle Jihyuk?" Heeseung tilted his head, furrowing his eyebrow as he stared at his brother.

Hanbin nodded, earning an awkward chuckle from Heeseung. "Uh well, I mean, your biological dad is my dad so.. yeah.. we should talk about this with our dad, not the other dad,"

Harin couldn't help but sighed at the mere confusion. "Seriously, you guys are step-siblings, you know," she chuckled after.

Making the latter shrugged, "Can't blame me, though. I never knew I have a brother,"

Heeseung leaned back, shaking his head with a chuckle. "Right, still feels weird,"

Harin, rolling her eyes, shifted in her seat. "Well, step-sibling or not, this is serious."

Heeseung's playful demeanor faltered as he remembered. "Yeah, about that..."

"Harin-ah, do you remember how dad used to cough up blood a lot? We all thought it was just stress or something, but now that we're in this topic, what if that's connected to whatever Hanbin has?"

Hanbin froze, his expression turning from confusion to alarm. "Wait, he coughed up blood too?"

Harin nodded, her tone more somber now. "Yeah, it happened a lot when we were kids. None of us really talked about it back then, we just thought dad stressed on work,"

Heeseung sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, we didn't think much of it back when we were kids. But if this disease is genetic, then maybe, it's possible Sera could have it too."

Hanbin sat back, running a hand through his hair. "So, what? Talk to dad? Get Sera tested? I mean... we don't even know where to start."

Harin exchanged a glance with Heeseung before responding, "We should start by talking to Dad. There's still a lot of things we didn't know about him. Then we can decide what to do next."
