“You have no birth certificate, no records, absolutely no proof of residency, and you also don't have your parents with you?” Cain had managed to reach the principal's office, although it was going as well as he thought it might have gone. He really had nothing to give, and that was only really arousing more suspicion. And Cain did not want to give away his identity to the principal, as he was a sort of large, foreboding owl beast. A few graying streaks of feathers showing signs of age.

Cain was going to have to play this carefully, he thought, any slip up, and he’d be eaten alive right then and there. “… But, like, I’m REALLY into homework,” The principal paused, before smiling. “Oh! Well, why didn’t you say so? Who cares about paperwork, anyway, that doesn’t teach you anything,” Cain blinked a little, waiting to see if he was getting punk’d. “… Seriously???” The principal stood up, reaching about 8ft tall if Cain had to guess. “Of course, knowledge is important, I simply cannot refuse a lover of education the chance of MORE education!” Much to Cain’s surprise, he was being completely serious.

“… Uh, well then, thanks?” Cain said, standing up too. “Though, you DID come on short notice… Just go and ask any other student you see for a guide, tell them Hedwig requested them to do so,” Cain smiled, before gulping. “Wait, I have to interact with them?” He frowned, a hint of worry lacing his tone. “… Well, yes? They’re your peers,” Hedwig said, gently pushing Cain out of the office. “I hope you have a good time at Hyde High! We strive for… Lots of things, uh, our motto is quite long, and my lunch break is in about five minutes, so…” Hedwig shut the door, leaving Cain standing meekly at his door.

“… I don’t need a tour that bad, right?” He asked himself, not wanting to do anything that could possibly ruin his poor disguise. It was just a hoodie, a strong gust of wind could quite literally kill him. Looking around, it seems like it was free period, as a majority of students were roaming around the halls and conversing. It still felt so strange, being a fish out of water despite being the most ‘normal’ fish on the beach. Then again, maybe he should start conversing with people? If he just kept to himself when he’s a complete nobody, people would start to get suspicious. “Why the hell is this stuff so hard to figure out!?” He thought to himself.

He cleared his mind, trying not to panic too hard. They can probably smell his fear or something freaky like that, and it’s possible if he just acted casual he could pass on by without notice. Though, his endgame plan was still far out of reach. Finding that mystery figure is going to take ages if they were actually just some disguised monster, obviously they won’t be disguised in their world. “I’ll figure something out,” He thought to himself, deciding to just go ahead and explore the school in the meantime.

Cain kept an eye on any and all people even a few feet near him, not being a huge fan of all the claws, teeth, and… slime? On so many of the students. He kept getting weird looks, too, which he had hoped was just a result of new kid syndrome. As per usual, however, Cain got himself into a bit of a pickle. Due to being so keen on looking at everybody else, he quickly forgot to actually look at where he was going. Bumping into some purple demon and most definitely pissing him off in the process. “What the hell!?” The demon boomed, it sounded like he was already in a mood beforehand. Cain probably wasn’t helping in that regard.

The demon turned around, blinking when actually registering WHO bumped into him. “… Who the fuck are you?” He growled, looking Cain up and down. While the demon seemed pissed, now he also seemed curious, which wasn’t what Cain needed nor wanted at all. “Oh, Uh, I’m… new,” Cain awkwardly responded, looking for an out of this conversation. “I can see that. WHO are you?” The demon repeated, getting a little more angry at the lack of a response he wanted. How impatient. “… I’m… Cain, I just came into town, like, a day ago,” Technically Cain wasn’t actually lying here, though the demon still seemed annoyed, for whatever reason?
