Well, things have been quite awkward. Rocky’s finally been leaving Cain alone, but it’s probably because of the fact he straight up ran away when he confessed his love to him. So, that probably hurt his feelings. A lot. Like, a lot, a lot. Bram suggested going and talking it out with Rocky, as did Cecelia, though she was less nice when giving her ‘suggestion’.

Problem was, Cain didn’t think he liked Rocky in that way, in fact he was starting to wonder if he was developing feelings for Bram at this point. Cause, goth punk vampire is hot. But, there’s also the logistics of falling in LOVE with a monster, when he was a human. That’s bound to cause issues in some places, even if they are aware he is one. Like Bram. Shax has been leaving him alone for the most part, which was a slight benefit in this wishy-washy situation, only really shoving him over in hallways whenever he’s in his way. But, Cain still felt bad about how he reacted, so, he wanted to find Rocky and apologize for his less than stellar response.

It was bound to cause Issues with Shax, granted, but like, he doesn’t want the werewolf to be upset. Cain’s sure he would have been fine with a simple rejection, but, it was probably the fact he ran off instead which hurt the most. Thanks to Cecelia, he knew when Rocky got out of school, so he waited around the entrance. Running right towards Rocky when he spotted him in the crowd, he seemed a little confused, a little sad, though there was another reason for that. Aside from the heartbreak. “… Uhm. Hey.” Rocky awkwardly waved, moving a little to the side as to not block anyone. Cain waved back, somehow, even awkwardly. “… Hey, again, uh… I just wanted to talk to you! About–” A loud alarm rang from Rocky’s phone before Cain could speak much, and Rocky got even sadder when seeing it. “… Are you okay??” Cain asked, pausing the love subject for now. “… Are you getting neutered–” Rocky went a little wide-eyed at that, shaking his head at that. “What!? No!!!” A little embarrassed, Cain barely whispered that in front of so many people. “I have a family reunion thingy today, and I said I’d bring a friend… But, all my friends are busy,” Rocky said, letting out a sigh.

“I was going to bring Cecelia, but she had to cancel last minute because she turned some robber into stone and that’s technically illegal self-defense or not,” Rocky explained. “So, she’s currently held up with the cops,” As inconveniencing that was for Rocky, it was fair. Reversing a gorgons stone gaze takes awhile, and it has to be the gorgon that TURNED them into stone in the first place, so. Cain, feeling bad that Rocky would have to go alone and probably get made fun of because he couldn’t find someone to bring, decided to make it up to him in a way. After yesterday’s events. “I can go with you, so you have somebody,” Cain offered, altering Rocky’s mood in an instant. Tail wagging, hopefully. “Uh, yeah! Just, y’know, so nobody makes fun of you,” Cain said, a bright smile appearing on Rocky’s face.

“And, I wanna make up for–” It seems like actually addressing what happened yesterday was gonna be a struggle, as Rocky, without listening, gave Cain a big ol’ bear hug. Wonder what a wolf hug looks like… Promptly squeezing a good majority of air out of him before loosening his grip. “Great!! We can head there now!!!” Rocky said, super hyper now that Cain was going with. “… Can we at least walk there??” Cain asked, hoping he wouldn’t be dragged like usual. “Hah! No, of course not! That’d be so slow,” Cain groaned a little, before getting picked up and hauled over Rocky’s shoulder like a sack of flour.

He did prefer it over being dragged by the wrist, though. So that was a bonus. Cain wasn’t actually sure where Rocky lived, he imagined they just lived in the woods, but he also expected Bram to live in a large, gothic mansion and; boy, was he shocked when he discovered Bram lived in an average suburb. And it seems like the suburbs struck again, as Cain quickly discovered that Rocky lived in an average looking cul-de-sac. He should really stop being so stereotypical with his guesses, he highly doubts third times a charm. “… Huh, not what I was expecting.” Cain muttered, Rocky listening in. It wasn’t hard, Cain was right next to his ears. “What were you expecting??” Rocky asked curiously, setting down Cain after reaching his house. “Something more woodsy, I guess?” He shrugged a little, following Rocky past the wooden fence.
