It's been fine, in a way, Cain thought. He's had a rough start, but things are finally looking up for him. Kinda? After yesterday, he's not sure things can get any worse, aside from, like, his identity getting revealed all of a sudden. But the skeleton disguise worked, somehow, and that's really the most important thing right now. Though, he has been having some difficulties with Rocky, more specifically; Rocky would not leave him alone. Ever since they met, Rocky's seemingly decided to spend as much time as humanly, or monsterly, possible next to Cain. Which was weird.Cain couldn't tell if he should be worried or not, Rocky didn't seem like he had more than 4 brain cells, yet that could also just be a front he's putting on. Maybe he was being too paranoid, or maybe he was well in his rights to be concerned about a monster insisting on following him everywhere. Then again, did he have rights in this place? He hasn't been able to get his phone working, and he hasn't found the library yet.
"... She'll be here soon! In the meantime, we can chat or something!!" Rocky piped up, getting too bored by the silence. "I guess," Cain shrugged, still gauging on whether he should be trusting anybody enough to share... Literally anything. "Are you into sports at all? I am!! All of 'em, really!" That wasn't surprising to hear at all, Rocky seemed the type. "I... thought so, with the letterman and all," Cain said. "But, not really, I've never been the sporty type," Rocky seemed a little disappointed by that, moving onto another topic. "What about clubs? Did you spot any that interested you??" Looking back at the ones Rocky showed him, Cain did see a few that interested him, just not for the reasons Rocky was curious about. "... Well, what's... with the movie club?" Cain asked.
Rocky tilted his head. "What is with the music club?" He repeated, needing elaboration. "It's more so the people in it, I guess," Cain shrugged. "Why was that one guy, like, black and white? And the girl? She had... VHS static," Rocky stared into space for a few moments, leaning back. "Uhh... Mr. Maine explained to me once, but, I don't really remember what it was..." Rocky muttered, clearly doing his best to remember. "They're a 'newer' species," A girl's voice piped up. When looking up, Cain spotted the gorgon that assisted him in the gym. She just wasn't in her gym wear, and was wearing some ridiculously expensive clothing. Or at least it looked expensive.
Rocky perked up, practically bouncing off of the bench to go greet her. "You made it!!!" He said, tail wagging. "Yeah," She responded plainly, looking towards Cain and then Rocky; waiting for an explanation. "... Never mind, I forgot you can't take hints- Why is he here?" She asked, looking back at Cain. Who is now just, awkwardly, sitting in his seat. "I wanted to show him around town! He said he's new, new! Like, never been in the state, new!" Rocky said cheerfully explained, the gorgon didn't seem too pleased with Cain's presence. Though, it also seemed like she cared enough about Rocky as to not shoo Cain away.
Then again, did Cain actually want to stay? Maybe this was a way out. "... Eh, alright," She shrugged. Nope, never mind, that way out is closed. Cain sighed, looking up at the two. "Uh, I'm Cain, and you are?" The gorgon briefly paused for a split second, before gasping in horror. "YOU DON'T KNOW WHO I AM!?" She shrieked, the snakes on her head raising and hissing at him. "... Uh... Should I?" He asked hesitantly, leaning back in the bench. It was psychically impossible, but he very much wished to sink back further. "I'm only the most popular girl in school!!!" She shouted. "You've NEVER heard of Cecelia Krait!?" Wow, she is loud. Rocky is noticeably covering his ears, which is also probably why he's not saying anything. He seems like the type to only be able to do one thing at once.
"... No," Cain responded bluntly, shrugging a little. "... UGH, you have so much to learn," She scowled. "No wonder you almost had Shax tear your soul out the first day you arrived..." Cain gulped, getting a bit of an idea. "Yeah, uhm, you kinda saved me back there... Thanks for that," Her eyes immediately perked up when he thanked her, like all her anger just, vanished. "Oh, don't mention it!! I'm just, really generous like that!!! ... And I hate him." Welp, her help wasn't at all intentional, but Cain's just gotten back on her good side, so. "Why do you hate him? Aside from the obvious," Cain asked, standing up. Noticing how he wasn't much taller than the gorgon. "Because!! One year, when I got prom queen! Like every year, by the way- He rigged some stupid bucket to pour gross pigs blood all over me when I won!!"
