I woke up and immediately checked my phone. I saw I had over five hundred messages waiting for me in the Kamala's Angels group chat. I hadn't been active in it these past couple of days because I no longer needed to fantasize about having Kamala when I was spending time with her almost everyday.

Part of me wanted to tell them what had happened during our break, but I really craved having Kamala to myself, and not having to update them about every single thing we did because they would be living vicariously through me. I knew they would be jealous because that's the type of people they were.

I sent a message in the chat after days of inactivity.

Did any of yall finish the project? 👀 It's due the first day we're back, I think.

I watched as those three dots appeared at the bottom of my screen, showing me they were typing.

Uhm?!?! Where have you been?

I took a phone break...

Jasmine was the first to respond. She was like the "mother" of our trio. Then came Laila, she was like our baby sister.

We literally thought something happened to you!

I'm fine yall... when yall coming back here?

We'll be back today. Leaving soon

I figured I'd spend some time cleaning and getting my work done for school next week since I had time to myself. I loved to start all my cleaning days with laundry so that's what I did.

I heard a knock on the door and I knew it couldn't be Jasmine and Laila back that quick. It was nearly a three hour drive. I looked through the peephole and thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I only saw the hair but I knew exactly who it was.

"Kamala?"

"Willow! My Lolo!"

She hugged me, placing her hand on the back of my head. It was like we hadn't seen each other in years, except we were just together two nights ago. The hug lasted for a while.

"I missed you." She pouted. Her hands were holding my face.

"I missed you more. Oh wow, I didn't think you'd actually ever come over to my place."

I noticed she was wearing hoop earrings, and I immediately got weak in the knees. The hoop earrings made her look extra grown. They accompanied her hair and facial features so perfectly.

"Did you just get your hair done?"

"Yes, I just left the shop" She ran her fingers through her hair, proud of the results.

"It's so pretty! It smells really good too."

" My stylist used something coconut scented. I was a little iffy about it at first but it does smell really good."

She looked around my home. Her hand slid down mine. She held it. I started to realize another one of her love languages was physical touch. Cooking and physical touch, there were two of them, and I needed to find out the rest.

"Even though it's very spacious here, it's still homely." She noticed the Aretha Franklin painting above the fireplace. "Oh my goodness!"

I loved watching her geek out over things, no matter what it was. Her eyes would light up and her words would slightly slur because of how hard she would smile. It was very charming.

"My friend painted that."

"Is it one of them in that chat of yours?"

She probably wanted to join the chat just to get off to all the things we were saying about her.
