Jimin could feel the tension building even before the evening of the party began. It was an annual business event hosted by Yoongi's company, one that Yoongi had insisted they attend together as a family. Jimin had no objections after all, he had always supported Yoongi in every aspect of his career. What he hadn't expected was how quickly the night would turn into one of the most painful experiences of his life.

Dressed in an elegant black suit, Jimin looked every part the perfect spouse, standing by Yoongi's side as they entered the grand hall. The party venue was luxurious, adorned with crystal chandeliers and polished marble floors. Jiyoon, their 4-year-old son, was excited, his eyes wide with curiosity as he clung to Jimin's hand. For Jimin, it was supposed to be a pleasant evening spent supporting his husband.

But the night took a sharp turn the moment Suhoon walked in. Suhoon was an old childhood friend of Yoongi's, a successful businessman with a magnetic presence. Tall, sharp-dressed, and undeniably confident, Suhoon strode into the room like he owned it, immediately catching the attention of everyone around. Jimin had heard about him before but had never met him in person. Yoongi had mentioned in passing that they had once had a childhood crush on each other, but Jimin had never given it much thought.

Yoongi's face lit up the moment he saw Suhoon.

"Suhoon!"    Yoongi exclaimed, his usual reserved demeanor melting into one of genuine excitement. Jimin watched from the side as Yoongi rushed over to greet him, leaving Jimin and Jiyoon momentarily forgotten.

Jimin stood awkwardly by the refreshment table, unsure whether to follow or stay where he was. He could see Yoongi and Suhoon chatting animatedly, their conversation flowing easily as if no time had passed since their last meeting. It wasn't long before Yoongi gestured for Jimin and Jiyoon to join them.

"Jimin, this is Suhoon," Yoongi introduced with a wide smile.

"He's been one of my closest friends since childhood."Jimin extended his hand, offering a polite smile.

"Nice to meet you."     Suhoon shook his hand, his smile polite but brief. His attention quickly turned back to Yoongi.

"It's been years, hasn't it? You haven't changed at all."

Jimin remained quiet, standing slightly behind Yoongi as Suhoon and Yoongi began reminiscing about their childhood memories. It started off harmless enough—old stories, jokes, and laughter—but Jimin couldn't help but notice how completely absorbed Yoongi was in Suhoon's presence.

As the evening wore on, the conversation shifted from light-hearted reminiscing to business talk. Suhoon was a successful entrepreneur, and Yoongi, ever eager to impress, seemed enthralled by every word that left his mouth.

"He's built his company from the ground up,"     Yoongi explained to Jimin, his eyes practically sparkling with admiration.

"Isn't that impressive?"Jimin nodded, offering a small smile.

"It is."

But as Yoongi and Suhoon continued their conversation, Jimin felt more and more invisible. They were in their own world, discussing business strategies, company growth, and future plans. Jimin stood silently, feeling increasingly out of place. Even Jiyoon, who had been holding his hand earlier, had let go and now stood closer to Suhoon, his eyes wide with admiration.Jiyoon tugged on Yoongi's sleeve and pointed to Suhoon.
