H2O Watching Emma & Cleo's Future as Hayley and Rebekah

Chapter 2: H2O Girlies

Everyone was waiting on the edge of their seats as the first video began playing.

(H2O | Stronger (+HeartOfNarnia) )

The screen opened up to the image of the sea, with the song Stronger by Kelly Clarkson playing in the background.

"You know the bed feels warmer, sleeping here alone (Sleeping here alone)."

They see Cleo lying on her bed, looking sad, before transitioning onto a clip of her trying to sleep.

"Are you okay, my dear?" Don asks his daughter, worried that she might be upset.

"Yes, I'm fine, Dad, don't worry," Cleo reassures him. Cleo truthfully didn't remember this scene ever happening.

"You know I dream in colour"

They see Bella sitting on the beach before moving to Emma (they haven't seen any mermaid stuff yet), showing her what it looks like to be swimming.

"Who's that?" Everyone asks, their curiosity piqued.

"Her name is Isabella Hartley, also known as Bella Hartley. She's Cleo and Rikki's future friend after Emma and her family leave town." The goddess Mimir answers.

This revelation not only shocked the girls but also the adults, "Wait... What do you mean Emma leaves?" Cleo asks, her voice tinged with surprise.

"Yes, we'd also like to know too." Niel Gilbert asks, wanting to know why he'd pull his family away from home, as his wife, Lisa, looks at him concerned.

"Well... that is something you shall find out when we begin to look into Emma and Cleo's futures."

While everyone else was surprised, Emma quickly realised it must be something to do with Niklaus and her family. In response to the news, she bites her lip, looking frustrated and uncertain.

Ash, noticing Emma's expression, asks with genuine concern, "Hey, are you okay, Emma?" This draws a lot of attention towards Emma as she snaps out of her thoughts and quickly notices people's worried eyes looking directly at her.

"Oh, yes. I'm fine. Just surprised, that's all." She said with a small smile. The girls who knew her the best wanted to protest, but one look from Emma made them smile sadly at her before turning back to the screen, which had paused due to their conversation.

"And do the thing I want (Do the things I want)."

They see Cleo and Rikki walking on the beach.

"You think you got the best of me"

They watch Cleo seemingly in the bath, smiling at the leaking faucet. (Again, no mermaid stuff, so it's blurry)

The men in the room feel a little embarrassed at seeing Cleo in the bath despite the blurry screen. Cleo herself feels a little uncomfortable.

"Hey! How can you show that? That's far too private for everyone to see!!" Rikki and Emma shout at the goddess. Lewis, who was slightly blushing, agreed with what they were saying, but they were relieved that it didn't show any signs that they were mermaids.

"I'm incredibly sorry, I didn't notice. But I don't believe there are any other images such as this later on in the video, don't worry." Mimir apologised to Cleo before reassuring the room that it would not happen again.
