As I lay on the ground, in a puddle of my blood knocking at death's door, I could hear muffled voices as blood oozed from my ears. "Domi, you are now the Lieutenant of the Yamaguchi-Gumi branch, head of our New York territory," Lee said, Domi giggled in joy like a little girl meeting her prince charming. This was the last thing I heard before entering eternal darkness. I smiled, accepting my death proudly as long as my beloved brother was happy with the outcome of his wretched betrayal. Then, everything went black.

Everything was dark, as if I was in a deep sleep, with my consciousness running rampant. The silence was deafening, I could see and feel nothing, all I had were the memories of my foolish mistakes. The regrets of my life filtered through my thoughts with every passing tragedy I went through spreading through my mind like a plague. I wonder, is this the afterlife? Is this what my life has come to?

Well, I guess it's no surprise, there was never any hope for someone like me. After all, why would there be? I sent countless souls into the depths of darkness, I prided myself only on my physical capabilities, and I abandoned the only woman I ever loved ditching her with our innocent child. The only thing in my life that held any value to me was my ability to kill, to overcome anyone walking this earth man to man. Or so I thought, now I see... it was all pointless, the life I lived had no meaning. I refused any emotional attachments, I departed from the path of righteousness but claimed to fight in the name of justice. Who am I? What was my purpose of living? It seems I will never have an answer.

A rumbling sounded through Kairo's mind, unaware of the power amidst this great darkness. His eyes slowly opened, he felt no pain, no fear, no joy or sorrow. What stood in front of him would decide his fate... For eternity. The next journey he will embark on will change the nature of the world forever. But he must first walk amongst the dead and find his reason to live.

Just when I thought I was forced to live in darkness, within the restlessness of my mind forever. I was... alive again, but this was different, I knew I died. My blood brother, Domi shot me in my head and I felt the life leave my body. So.. what is this? Where am I? Who am I?

I found myself on a rocky path, covered in ash, dust particles floated through the air like bubbles in the ocean. The atmosphere was lifeless, the sky permeated with a demonic aura, and dark clouds hovered above as if a storm was about to break. I could hear the screams of millions echoing through the hollowness of my mind, the smell of death flowed through my nostrils, my hands tingling with adrenaline. My senses were all intact, working together in perfect synchronization. I surveyed the world around me, vultures soared through the air like bald eagles, deformed monsters with decrepit wings, teeth shaped like wolves canines, hairless, so pale-skinned you could see their blue veins bulging throughout their bodies. They stood 10 feet tall, with the claws of bears, their eyes completely black.

Humans were begging for their lives, as these devilish creatures dragged them down the rustic path. Other humans walked down the path carelessly, accepting what lay ahead. This ruinous road led to enormous gates, the gates stretched high into the dismal sky. The gates were pitch-black, wrapped by scarlet-colored thorns, with blood trickling from the tips, the width of the gates a thousand acres, as hundreds of thousands entered, either freely or forced against their will. It was clear to me now, that I had reached my final resting place, Hell.

I knew the life I've lived was not one to be worthy of, I lived my life despising God, warring against the ideals of Jesus Christ, the world's Savior. This is what I deserve, what I expected nonetheless and I will embrace it, with the last bit of my soul I have left. I walked down this path, many walking by my side, some with smiles on their face and others sobbing pathetically in grief. With my head held high, one step after another, I strolled to the gates.
