14. the past

It's been a week since the crazy night at the docs and I am at the den waiting for Leo to pick me up, we're going to see dad. I have a billion questions and I think it's about time he explains what is going on considering the crazy shootout that day were the Russians and they are getting back at the millans for protecting me.

I obviously feel guilty because they would have not lost millions in those machandice if it were not for me. Leo's dad is even more angry at Leo and his siblings for it and I will forever be greatful for them.

I have only seen him twice this week because he has been busy trying to figure out how to compensate that and with a thousand meetings. Fiona and Allen have been trying to figure out who in their employees is the mole considering they wouldn't have known about the exchange of the machandice that night if they were not told about it.

Nick has been the one always staying around almost all day if not go into some meetings with Leo. The few days I have spent with him have been the best. He has a lot of stories and crazy life experiences. I now know a lot about him and how his dad was so angry at him when he came out and said no son of his gay. He even was not around much when their mom died and is still sad about it.

He doesn't talk much about his love life but I can't tell that their is someone from how he has some calls acting all childish and soft.

He is goofy and funny and annoying. He's just a good company.

My phone rings and I grab it from couch just beside me. It's mike, we had a talk and I felt stupid for being angry at him since he also went through it like me.

What's up?
Me.

You tell me. What did you decide about meeting dad?
Mike.

I am going to meet him today. Mike, I am not sure if I want to.
Me.

I would go with you if I was in town, I know you have never seen eye to eye with him but the sooner we get to the bottom of it the better.
Mike

He has a point.

Me.

Me.

I joke and he laughs.

And he hungs up.
I stare at my phone as Nadia's message pops up.

It says,
We still up for this evening?

I draft a reply letting her know we are. We talked and I gave them a second chance everyone deserves it right? Lexy has tried to reach out but I immediately blocked her. I am so not ready to entertain her, she disrespected me and our friendship.

I am going to meet Nadia and Amy for the first time since the fight and I honestly miss them, with all the crazy stuff going on I need someone to talk to except Fiona of course.

My phone chimes again and I glance at it, from unknown.
I'll be there in ten.

I place the phone on the table and I jog upstairs to put on something. I finally settle for a blue dress that reaches just above my knees, it's sleeves and it is made of a light material. The weather is warm so I don't take the sweater. I grab my purse after putting on some white flat shoes and I am good to go with my hair just perfectly curled. I love my minicurls I always ensure they're perfect.

I go ahead and work out the door when I see another text from him saying he's outside. “ hi mark.” I greet smiling widely as always and he waves.

My eyes land on the black Bentley and I almost stop breathing, I never thought I'd ride in one of this in my life. It so cute. Leo gets out of the car and walks to the passenger door, he stands between me and the car and I almost loose it with how his bright grey eyes trailed down my body and stopping for a complete second at my chest “ you look beautiful.” he says and I ignore the heat rushing to my lower stomach when he hugs me briefly and kisses me on the forehead.
