I was in the kitchen washing the dishes, humming along to the song playing on the radio. Leah and I had just finished dinner, and the pack was out in the wood, and Leah has gone home to hang out with her family. So I was at home by myself.
"Hey there."
That voice. It couldn't be, I turned around. And there he was, standing before me. "Logan." I whispered. "What? How? You're dead! I-I buried you. There's no way you can be here." I stared at him with wide eyes.
"I'm here though. I'm here, because you need me. The kids look great by the way." He smiles as he looked at the pictures on the wall. I followed him as he headed into the living room. "That doesn't answer the how part Logan. How are you here?" I stared him down. He paused mid-step, before turning back around to face me. "I think you know. At least you should." He finished, just as he placed his hand on my cheek. Why does it feel so real? His touch. His presence. I missed it so much.
"I don't want to think about that now. Not right now. Come. Sit with me." I sat on the couch, and he sat beside me. I couldn't help myself, I leaned into him and hugged him. He still smelled the same. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed me head. "I missed you pretty boy." "I missed you too, pretty girl."
We stayed that way for a while. Maybe for a good hour or two. Just enjoying each other's presence. I turned my head to look up at him. I smiled, before my conscious returned to me. I need to find out why he's here. I sat up and faced him, my face now serious. The phone begins to ring in that moment, to which he pointed out. I ignore the phone, and continue to stare at him, grabbing his hand.
"It can't be traveling into the past or such." The phone rings once more, "I know it isn't the case, because we wouldn't be here if it were the case." The phone stops, and then starts once more, "Ho-", My eyes widened at the sudden realization. I saw him nod at me, and felt him grab my face. "No. No. No! I refuse to believe that's the case!" I stand up. Why won't the phone stop ringing? "They're just migraines, I'm better now." I walk toward the phone, feeling a wetness on my nose, I quickly wipe nose. "I barely get them. I..." Couldn't breath, why can't I breath? Why am I on the ground? I can't see! Why can't I see? Why is there ringing in my ears? Logan!
SAM
"I can't seem to get a hold of Ana, maybe she already heard and is on her way." I look at Charlie as he said this. "Have you tried her cellphone? She's been attached to it since the kids left to stay with Logan's parents." I asked as I paced. We were all gathered at Sue's house to show her our support, due to Harry's passing.
"I've tried everything Sam. Maybe she's making her way back here from Seattle or Port Angeles. I don't know! Were you at least able to get any information on where Seth and Leah went off to?" Charlie asks, making his way into Sue's kitchen to prepare her a tea. I shake my head no, in response. "I have Jared and Embry patrolling the wood, in hopes they made their way over there. I'm not sure if Leah followed Seth, because he pulled the trigger, or who knows what." I place my hand over my mouth. I knew I was tense. I was filled with worry. The red headed leech has been causing enough problems as it was, but now she has made everything worse.
"Right now Jacob is with Bella at your house, so at least we know where she is. Jake will protect her. I'm going to call Paul right now, see if he can swing by the house to see if Ana is there. I can't shake the feeling, as if something more is going on." I grab the mug from Charlie's hand, to take it to Sue. Just I was leaving the kitchen to head into the living room, I heard Charlie mutter one sentence, that sent a chill down my spine.
"You and me both Sam. You and me both."
THIRD
After Sam had called Paul, Paul raced over to Ana's house with worry. If Ana wasn't with Charlie and Sam, nor was she with Leah, something must have been wrong. Going up the steps, he unlocked the front door, shoving it open. "Ana!" He calls out, noticing a broken plate in the kitchen. "Shit." He mutters, before continuing up the stairs. He turned into Sam's and Ana's room, to find her laying on the bed.
"Ana?"
He moves towards her, careful to not startle. He could hear her heartbeat, but the way she laid there, almost as if she was lifeless, unnerved him. This was not like Ana. He sat down on the bed next to her, gently nudging her. "Ana, wake up. It's Harry. Charlie needs you." She twitched, but had yet to open her eyes. Paul got up from the bed, with worry in his eyes. He pulled his phone from his pocket to call Sam. Something wasn't right. He turned, as he dialed Sam's number, Sam needed to get here.
But as he was heading down the stairs, he did notice the gasp of breath that escaped from Ana's mouth as she awoke.
