"can you do color magic?" Sans asked during dinner.

As he was watching Grillby and Papyrus work, he had begun to think about color magic. He was interested in the different abilities that each color had like what Alphys had explained.

"Me?" Grillby asked.

"yeah. paps can't do magic yet."

"Other than healing magic, no, I can't do any of the other colors. Why did you ask?"

"SANS SHOWED ALPHYS HIS BLUE MAGIC." Papyrus answered, wanting to join the conversation. "THEN SHE TOLD US WHAT ALL THE OTHER COLORS DO. OH, DID YOU KNOW THAT SANS HAS BLUE MAGIC?"

"I didn't know that." Grillby wasn't surprised though. Sans seemed to have a multitude of magical abilities. "Can he do any other colors? I know that the king can use three of them: red, orange, and blue."

"I DON'T THINK SO. BUT, HE DOESN'T REALLY SHOW ME HIS MAGIC SO MAYBE HE DOES AND I'VE JUST NEVER SEEN IT. LIKE, THOSE SKULL THINGIES ALPHYS DESCRIBED! I'VE STILL NEVER SEEN THOSE." Papyrus turned to Sans. "SANS, YOU SHOULD SHOW US SOMETIME."

"uh but...i don't think that'd be safe." Sans said. "you know i can't control my magic 'n that's uh...not just simple bones."

"I can close the restaurant tomorrow so I can take you outside to practice your magic." Grillby suggested. "Also you don't have to immediately try making those skulls. Most monsters don't start out with the biggest attack they have. They also don't have perfect control over their magic and the only way to improve is to practice."

"SEE SANS. YOU HAVE TO USE MAGIC TO GET BETTER." Papyrus said. "DOING NOTHING WON'T MAKE YOUR MAGIC ANY EASIER TO CONTROL."

"i know...but, i don't want anyone gettin' hurt." Sans said. Almost every time he's used magic recently it's caused problems or hurt someone and he didn't want to hurt Papyrus again.

"I'll make sure that there's no one around when we go practice and I will make sure Papyrus stays a safe distance away." Grillby reassured Sans. "It's important to know how to use magic since it can be used for so much more than just fighting. I use mine to cook for example."

"HE ALSO USED IT TO LIGHT UP WATERFALL'S DARK CAVES WHEN WE WENT LOOKING FOR YOU." Papyrus added. "OH! UNDYNE USED A GLOWING SPEAR TO DO THE SAME THING."

"ok, ok...i get it." Sans gave in. "we can go practice tomorrow." He did still need to learn what the void magic can do and that also wasn't happening if he didn't use magic.

"YAY! I WANT TO SEE THAT THING YOU USED WITH ALPHYS. IT SOUNDS REALLY COOL."

"the uh blasters?" Sans asked. He would have to keep the full name a secret. "but i've only used them twi- uh i only used two that one time."

Papyrus and Grillby noticed the change of wording.

"ARE YOU SURE?" Papyrus asked skeptically. "BECAUSE, YOU DON'T SOUND SURE."

"yeah I'm sure." Sans thought of a good explanation to cover his slip up. "...i used two with alphys. so...i've used them twice but that could also sound like i used them two separate times. just had to make it clear."

"Did you know you could make them before that time?" Grillby asked. He had a feeling that Sans wasn't telling the full truth.

"uhh no. just sorta...happened." Sans shrugged. That was true, at least for the one with Gaster and the first one with Alphys. The second one with Alphys was the first one where actually wanted to summon it.

"Hmm ok." Grillby knew there was more but he didn't want to push. "Do you think you'll be able to create one tomorrow? I am also a little curious about it."
