A/N The waiting is over my amazing readers, she's there. And it's about to get real. real..ly hectic.

"Is that all?" Steph's beyond-depressed voice reached my ears as she rolled down the door of the moving van.

"Yeah, I guess so." I said, my lips quivering from sadness, as I examined her disheveled blonde locks, teary blue orbs and her wrinkled blue and white Adidas tracksuit. I blinked away my tears as I faced my best friend, who I couldn't imagine being apart from after four years of being inseparable. Yes, she doesn't understand me, teases me relentlessly and gives me heart attacks over stupid reasons. However, in the short amount of time I spent with her, and despite my constant pleas to be left alone, she took it upon herself to be my friend.

*Flashback*

"Hello again." Stephanie greeted me cheerfully.

"Oh, Hi." I smiled amicably and looked away swiftly, as I continued murdering my lunch's civil image with my fork, as I kept splattering my 'Mac and cheese' across my plate.

"Are you okay now? I was a little concerned, with the accident and all, I also spotted you in class holding your head tightly. I was sure......" she still spoke in that friendly manner. She was nice, but she couldn't keep being seen with me. It's only been a year and I'm not sure what he's up to.

"I'm great now, thanks for your concern." I interrupted her, with a slight smile, indicating that I needed her to leave. Yet, she didn't move an inch, so I started preparing to be rude.

"Can you maybe clear this seat, because I need to put my bag." I told her, quite coldly. She then turned her head towards me and stared at me intently as she said "You may say that you want to be alone, but you don't. So, whatever you're worried about, let it go." she finished as she took a cupcake off her tray, only to utter again in complaint, in a manner way different than before. "Can you believe that the freakin' cafeteria stopped serving toppings, I mean how am I supposed to eat my cupcake without sprinkles. Ballistic."

and from that moment onwards, we were never separated.

*Flashback ends*

"Wow and here I thought no one can top me in the "who-can-dress-the-crappiest" contest, but you definitely sealed the deal. Never thought I'd see the day when a tracksuit could look wrinkled." I joked, pushing back my emotions and giving her a large smile. "Must you be great at everything." I continued.

She didn't say a word, just walked towards me and gave me a hug as she whispered "Stupid Jay, stop hiding your pain. Don't feel responsible to make me happy and focus on yourself a little."

I was about to break down right now, but I stood my ground as I replied "What are you talking about Stephanie, I'm perfectly....."

"One day, you'll find someone who you feel is strong enough to share your ache with you, someone you can trust, I promise. Sally" She interrupted me as I felt her tears wetting the side of my shirt.

Stupid Steph, why did you have to say the full name.

I couldn't say anything. I just hugged her tightly until it was time to go.

Upon receiving the letter yesterday, I practically ran to the student council office and presented my acceptance of the offered scholarship then called up Steph and Mohamed on the ride home. After breaking the news to them, we stayed up all night with Steph's mum, packing my luggage, remembering the good old days and simply trying to paint a beautiful picture of the three of us in our minds, to never forget - what we all shared. During our time, we all shared the same thought though. The winds of fate were blowing us all in different directions, but what I was wondering is - can we handle it?
