Khronos descended into the Underworld, the duplicate Pandora's box secure in his grasp.

Hades and Medusa awaited him, their eyes fixed on the box. "Well done, Khronos," Hades said, his voice dripping with satisfaction. "How did you manage to retrieve the box from the Oracle of Delphi?"

Khronos' smile hinted at secrets. "The Oracle owed me a favor," he said, his voice low. "She couldn't deny it." He tilted his head, executing a sly, bowed gesture.

Medusa's gaze narrowed. "A favor, you say?"

Khronos' expression remained impassive.
"A debt repaid, my queen."

Hades' eyes gleamed with interest. "Very well, Khronos. Your loyalty is rewarded."

Medusa's voice dripped with venom. "For now."

Medusa's gaze locked onto Hades, her voice laced with a mix of curiosity and warning. "Now, what's your plan, Hades? Will you entrust the Pandora's Box to me, or do you truly believe Lyra's tales of Keres and Hermes' betrayal?"

Hades' expression remained calm, but a hint of tension crept into his voice. "Medusa, my queen, I've considered Lyra's words. But I won't be swayed by unfounded doubts. The box's power will secure our reign."

Medusa's eyes narrowed. "Secure our reign? Or solidify your own power, Hades?"

Khronos watched the exchange, intrigued by the underlying tension.

Hades' smile was reassuring. "Medusa, together we'll wield the box's power. Our bond remains unbroken."

Medusa's response was icy. "We'll see."

Medusa's gaze pierced Hades, her voice laced with determination. "Firstly, Hades, I require the golden box. I've made a pact with Keres: half its power will aid me in the war against Athena."

Hades' expression darkened. "Medusa, you're aligning with Keres, despite Lyra's warnings?"

Medusa shook her head, a sly smile spreading. "Athena's involvement reeks of deception. Why would she steal your Eye of Hades amulet for Hermes, if Lyra's tale is true?"

She chuckled, amused. "Athena wouldn't dare venture here herself. She'd send a proxy, someone familiar with your kingdom."

Medusa's eyes sparkled with recollection.
"Just as she sent one of her maidens, pretending friendship, to steal my Helm of Darkness. But they failed, of course."

Her smirk grew. "Athena underestimates me. But I'll show her true power, with the Pandora's Box."

Khronos listened intently, intrigued by Medusa's revelations.

Hades' face twisted in concern. "Medusa, are you certain Keres can be trusted?"

Medusa's laughter was low and menacing.
"Trust? Ha! In the underworld, power is the only currency that matters."
