,,What do you have it for?"
,,It's for my hair, mom. You gave it to me yourself, remember?"
The next day, Elisabeth saw Edward and told him everything that happened after he left. She told him that her mother saw her, but her sister's best friend didn't.
,,So when are you going to start training me?" she asked with a smirk when the subject came up. ,,I think it would be good for me to be able to defend myself."
,,Looks like I'll have to take a few days off to train the newbie." Edward grinned at the brunette.
,,Ooh, should I put on the Rocky soundtrack?" she raised an amused eyebrow.
,,What?" he asked her in confusion.
,,Nothing." she laughed in amusement at his ignorance of movies. She knew shadowhunters didn't have time for mundane movies and TV shows. They spent their time training, learning runes and going on missions.
Ever since she met Edward, she knew everything about the shadow world. Or rather, she knew everything that Edward knew. They met at her house when Jocelyn was away, but they met more where they had just met. Once, when Edward was at Elisabeth's house, her sister Clary came into the room but didn't see him. This surprised Edward and the new shadowhunter, as she was Elisabeth's sister and Jocelyn's daughter.
Elisabeth was only in the seventh grade of elementary school when she and Edward started training together. They started with conditioning and continued with fisticuffs. Only when she could defend herself and fight without weapons did he teach her with an seraph blade or other weapons. At first it was difficult not only for the twelve year old brunette, but also for the fifteen year old Edward as her teacher. Edward thought that because of her age and the fact that she had grown up as a mundane she would be afraid to attack him, but he was wrong. He couldn't figure out where the fire in her came from that had shown up in their fight. He couldn't believe the way she had attacked him without a second thought. It was as if someone was controlling her. Like she knew all the moves and attacks, like her body knew what to do.
