Chapter 9

Athena's POV

I went to Kenji's house. I saw he was in his artist mode. But I'm quite curious with the kind of pencil she is using. Why is it color orange?

I visited him ever since I heard that he was diagnosed again with his condition. Her mom told me when we saw each other in a mall. Bakit ba sobrang masikreto nito ni Anon?

I also found out that he and Amara has not attained a closure. So they are in a cool off? I feel so sad for Anon dahil nakikita ko ngayon na iba na ang mood niya. He was lonely.

"Oh, Athena, nandiyan ka pala." Sabi niya.

Lumapit naman ako sa kanya. This time, he is sketching a girl happily eating an orange. While he was doing the sketch, wala itong picture or anything na ginagayahan.

"How did you do that Kenji? Wala kang kopya or view sa sketch mo?"

"I just memorized the view I once saw then I imagined it, Athena."

Napansin ko rin na iba ang mood niya habang ginagawa ang sketch na to. He looks happy. When He finished the stroke in a side, I realized his drawings.

The girl and the woman in his 5-piece paintings are all portraying to Amara. There is also a style that I cannot pinpoint but in his art, parang may message.

He was so detailed and I can't believe he was doing it with just everything in his mind.

"Why are you rushing in finishing these artworks Anon?Mukang you still have few months panaman before the exhibit."

"I might undergo the brain surgery as sooner as expected to be Athena. I wanted to finish this before I forget her."

Napaluha naman ako sa sinasabi niya. Si Amara parin inisip niya kahit marami itong pinoproblema.

Another week had passed, and I was alarmed when Tita, her mother called me that Kenji was hospitalized.

I rushed into his room and I felt relieved because sabi ng doctor, he is now fine.

"Sumakit lang ang ulo ko ma. Okay lang ako."

Pinapakalma ni Kenji si Tita. Nakita niya rin ako at parang namumula naman ang mata niya.

Habang nag-uusap kami ni Tita, lumapit naman ang doctor sa amin.

We were told that the tumor is progressing. Kaya kailangan niya ng mga undergo ng brain surgery dahil kung hindi, it would risk his life.

I cancelled all my plans sa work and I stayed here in the hospital.

Naramdaman ko na may humahagod sa buhok ko. I saw Kenji smiling at me.

"Athena...okay lang ako. Umuwi ka muna dahil hindi kana nakakapahinga dito sa hospital."

"Kenji....I will stay here. I will be by your side."

Napangiti lang siya at pumasok naman ang doctor.

"Sir Kenji. We would like to get your signature regarding the surgery."

Lumapit na ang mga doctor kay Kenji. I even called even the best doctor for him mula sa ibang bansa. Delikado na kasi kay Kenji to travel, so I made sure na makakapunta ang doctor dito.

Ayaw na sana ni Kenji na magaabala pa ako, but can you blame me? Kenji is not only a friend, he is so special and so precious and I can't let him go. Tatangapin ko pa na kakalimutan niya ako basta buhay siya.
