Nari shivered at his dark, husky chuckle. She quickly looked away, breaking the intense eye contact, only now noticing his attire. He stood tall and intimidating, dressed in a perfectly tailored suit that did little to hide the dangerous aura he carried with him. His presence filled the room like a storm cloud, heavy and suffocating. She couldn’t help but notice how his smirk curled at the edges—infuriatingly tempting. Lord help her, but why did it make her feel... like this?
Nari's POV:
Why can't I stop staring at him? He’s so dangerous. The looks, the mansion, the bodyguards, the guns... it's obvious he's not someone normal. Yet, here I am, drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Ugh, Nari, get a grip!
"Who is he?"
"And more importantly... why the hell is he so attractive right now?!"
"I’ve never felt this way before. And he hasn’t even said much. One chuckle and I’m done for. But I can’t let him know that."
I was spiraling into these ridiculous thoughts when he interrupted me.
“Nari, right?” Jungkook's voice cut through the air, smooth and deep. His hands remained in his pockets, and his gaze stayed fixed on her, effortlessly seductive.
"Y-Yes. How did you know?" I immediately regretted the question. Of course, he knew. I’m basically his captive!
He stepped closer, just a slight movement, but enough to send my pulse racing. "I’m Jeon Jungkook," he said, his voice as calm as a quiet sea, though his eyes told a different story. "And you witnessed something you shouldn’t have."
The cold truth of his words hit me like a truck.
“He’s talking about last night… Oh God, he trapped me because I saw him shoot someone. Of course! Stupid, stupid, stupid, Nari! And I’ve been obsessing about him instead of figuring this out. Focus!”
Jungkook leaned closer, his lips curving into a lazy, dangerous smile. “Cat got your tongue, sweetheart?”
I shivered again. Damn, this guy was too much. I quickly scrambled for words. "The thing I saw last night—I swear, I won’t tell anyone! Just... let me go, please?" I hated how desperate I sounded. I wasn’t the type to beg, but if I didn’t, who knows what he’d do to me?
Jungkook’s smile never reached his eyes. "It’s too late for that, sweetheart. You’re mine now. You belong to me."
My heart stopped.
"Did he just say… I belong to him? Like, what does that even mean? I’m not some stray dog he picked up on the street!"
"W-What do you mean?" I stammered, trying to sound confident but failing miserably. My voice sounded like a trembling leaf.
He chuckled, a deep, unsettling sound. "I don’t repeat myself, sweetheart. You. Belong. To. Me." His words were deliberate, as if savoring the effect they had on me. And oh, they did. I hated it. No, actually, I hated how I didn’t hate it as much as I should.
He continued, not giving me a chance to process. "You’re in my world now. And in my world, I make the rules."
