Nagi's POV:

"Nagi, check it out!" Reo suddenly pointed dramatically, his finger aimed at some poor guy across the room. "We got a real-life weirdo on our hands!"

I followed his finger and blinked. The guy in question had his pants wrapped around his torso like a cape and his shirt sleeves tied around his legs.

"Whoa... a real-life youkai," I mumbled under my breath.

We helped him untangle himself from his wardrobe malfunction, and after a bit of awkward introduction, we ended up as a team. Eleven of us... somehow.

The next few days were a blur of sweaty training sessions—intense, ridiculously intense training—and the occasional football game, which was honestly more boring than watching paint dry. I had to score though... because someone threatened to steal my phone if I didn't.

There were only two matches left, and I had this feeling we'd lose. Which was honestly fine by me, but... then Reo would probably get all moody.

We stepped onto the field the third game of our team. Right in the middle stood a familiar figure, half-smirking with eyes practically sparkling with excitement.

He was talking with his teammates, his tone a bit tense and his demeanor colder than usual, which felt strange for someone like him.

"Ryouta?!" Reo called out, raising a hand and giving a quick wave.

"Yo, Reo, Nagi!" Ryouta turned his head towrads us eyes lit up.

"So you're the top scorer of Building 5, huh?" Reo said, slinging an arm around Ryouta's shoulders for a moment. Ryouta flinched slightly but quickly gave a light chuckle.

"Hope you're warmed up, Ryouta," Reo added, smirking. "We're here to bury that scoreboard."

Ryouta just chuckled like it was all just another Tuesday for him before giving his team a narrowed smile.

sigh What a hassle...

With just seconds left, I finally saw my chance to slack off—I mean, to strategically re-enter the game. Reo made the pass, and bam, perfect shot position. The ball came rolling toward me, and I kicked it like I was actually trying.

Out of nowhere, Ryouta slid into my line of sight. How did he get there so fast? He was on the other side of the field like two seconds ago!

I was sure he'd intercept the ball before it reached the net, but for some reason, he didn't manage to. The ball brushed against his leg, but it had too little force to change its path. It continued on and nestled into the corner of the net.

Team W - 2

Ryouta fell to the ground, unable to regain his balance. His arms and legs sprawled out as he gasped for breath, clearly exhausted from the chase.
