"Frisk, you take on this responsibility of slaughtering the Demons under the ground?" The priest stood in front of the small child, barely eight years old. They stood inside a chapel, seats filled, and no voices but the priest and the children could be heard.

"I do." The small child spoke, their voice soft in comparison to the priest.

"Then take this Cross, Bible, and this blade. Climb the Devil's Mountain, and kill The DEMONS." The Priest spoke as the sun-glazed through the tainted glass windows into the chapel. The child nodded and took the objects.

"Now let us pray for your protection." The Priest said as everyone stood.

"Dear our Lord and Savior we pray for this child's protection as she goes to kill the DEMONS underneath and sends them back to Hell. Guide her and give her knowledge as she goes on this dangerous endeavor. And in Your Name, we pray, Amen." The Priest finished as the people recited the last word.

Frisk opened their eyes and glanced towards their older sister, Athan. Athan stood by the girl she always stood by when they were at Church. Athan glanced at the woman before looking at Frisk. Athan was glaring at them, her brown eyes seemed to burn into their soul. Athan was meant to be the one to climb the Mountain this decade, but Frisk had volunteered before Athan.

Athan is now going to be the next priest.

Something she never wanted to be.

Athan turned and stood as everyone rose from their seats. The Holy music blared through the Chapel. Frisk knew this was most likely never going to see their family again. That's fine though, they never liked them anyway. Frisk turned and walked down the aisle as everyone cheered. Frisk opened the Chapel doors and stared up at the looming Mountain.

Frisk sighed as they slowly walked up the gravel road. The road shifted underneath their feet, plants grew between the cracks. The road ended at the foot of The Mountain, a path was formed.

The ground became dangerous the more they climbed The Mountain. They planned their steps carefully as the path became slimmer. Towards the top they crawled, no longer trusting their balance. They saw the top and stood once they saw the hole that led to the inevitable. They stood and walked towards it, glaring down into it. The fall was about one thousand feet, not survivable at all. They took a step and fell.

Frisk Survived.
They slowly opened their eyes.
How are they alive?
Hell if they know.
