WHY I MARRIED US TO POETRY....

The curtains were drawn
Back at the crack
Of dawn,
The sun halfly shined
In the midst of
Midnight's rain and soul
Serenade of frogs,
Singing like
An old cranky crane.

Oh how the droplets were pouring,
I looked over to you
With a smile on my face while
Hearing the harped
Snoring,
Which escaped your warm lungs.

Seconds later
The thunders roared,
Lightning struck and the flame
In the fire blazed
Hotter,
You reached out your right arm,
Peeked through your
Left eye,
I couldn't help my fears to
Snuggle in your
Embrace,
Knowing that I would be
Safe

However all I did
Was give you a hug,
Your lips placed soft kisses
On the crown of
My head,
Assuring my brain that we're
Not falling apart,

Our heart beats intertwine
At clock speed,
Reminding me that we're
Not dead,
Even though I hear the
Pillow scream from the
Nightmares in yesterday's dream.

My doubts confuse
Me,telling me you're going
To leave,
So help me God I wanna
Believe these words
Are true,
Not something that every
Poet spews.

THE CURTAINS WERE
DRAWN BACK
THIS MORNING,
THE SUN HARDLY SHINED
IN THE MIDST OF
LAST NIGHTS RAIN AND FOG,
OH HOW THE DROPLETS
WERE POURING,

YOU SLEPT PEACEFULLY
WITH ROSE PETALS
LAYED ON OUR BED,
AND THIS I KNOW FOR
NOW YOU STOPPED
SNORING.
