"Something happened?" Coming to Lisa, Jennie found that Lisa's face was not quite right, and Jennie felt inexplicably nervous.
Lisa silently looked at her.
In the morning when he was relatively free, he sent messages to Jennie, sent two in a row without Jennie replying, and the call prompted "unable to connect". Lisa couldn't help worrying, so he came to find her. Now seeing that Jennie was fine, Lisa suddenly didn't want Jennie to know why he came over.
"I'm passing by and happen to drop by to see you." Lisa said with a smile, stroking Jennie's nurse's hat. The lie was told flawlessly.
There were quite a few pet owners lining up for numbers next to them. Lisa actually did such an intimate move in the lobby. Jennie's face turned red and she signaled Lisa to go out and talk. Lisa glanced inside the hospital, before slowly turning around and walking outside, asking Jennie as he walked, "Is your phone broken? I can't get through on the call."
Jennie sighed, "I didn't put my phone away properly and it fell on the ground and the screen cracked. I don't know if it can still be used."
The unhappy thing at work had already been resolved, and Jennie didn't want to tell Lisa about it again, lest he get angry for no reason.
"Let me take a look." Lisa was in no hurry to go back. He stopped at the hospital entrance and asked Jennie to fetch her phone.
Jennie nodded and went back inside.
In early September , it was still a bit hot outside. Lisa stood outside the door for a while, then went back inside to enjoy the air conditioning. He stood with one hand in his pocket on one side of the lobby, his dark eyes faintly observing the medical staff coming in and out of the lobby. As he watched, Lisa's gaze fixed.
At the same time, V, who walked out with a medical record book, also noticed the tall figure of the man in the lobby. As their eyes met, V was about to recall whether he had seen this person somewhere before, but the other party actually smiled at him, a very shallow smile, even a bit cold, but the man's features were so handsome that with this smile, he stood out and was hard to ignore.
A nurse passed by him, and V recognized from her back that it was Jennie, confirming that Jennie's target was that man in a suit. V suddenly realized, and finally remembered that he was Jennie's boyfriend.
After hesitating for a few seconds, V walked towards the two. Lisa recognized him, so out of courtesy, he should also say hello.
"How did it break?" Seeing Jennie's phone, which was smashed too terribly, Lisa frowned and asked. Over the years, Jennie had matured a lot, the only thing that hadn't changed was her frugality. The few electronic devices she had were used very sparingly, looking almost like new, but an ordinary fall would never have this effect, unless the phone fell from the second floor.
Before Jennie could answer, noticing V approaching, Lisa once again revealed the polite smile he wore when dealing with business partners, "Mr. V, long time no see. If Jennie hadn't told me yesterday that you came to work here, I wouldn't have dared to recognize you just now."
"Mr. Manoban doesn't seem to have changed much." V smiled and held out his hand.
Lisa shook his hand briefly before letting go.
The two were not familiar with each other, so V naturally wanted to find a topic. Seeing that Lisa was holding Jennie's phone, thinking they were talking about the medical dispute, V said with a smile, "It's thanks to Jennie today, otherwise that Samoyed would have been given a tranquilizer by now. It's a pity that Jennie was greatly wronged. Please comfort her well, Mr. Manoban. I still have something to do. Let's get together if we have the chance."
