She's the first, an entire year before Starfire and a few before Tara. She's the one opening his locked doors into his freezing room, watching him look over at her with tired eyes.

Heavy bags beneath them, “hey,” she'd glide across the room silently and the door closed behind her.

He smiled and fixed his mask, “hey,” his cracked voice cooled her ears but brought her heart to a hot pitter. “What are you doing up so late?” He sat up and closed a few of his folders.

She shrugged and slowed to a stop beside him, softly sitting her hand on his shoulder. “I can't sleep if all you plan on doing tonight is thinking.” He hummed and nodded.

“I was thinking about you,” Raven looked down softly.

“I know,” she slid her shaking hand up his neck and then slipped her fingers beneath his mask. It unsucked and fell to the desk letting his dark blue eyes stare at her. “Go to sleep Richard.”

He looked away and smiled, “don't you think that if it was that easy…I'd have done so already, Raven.” He opened the folders again. She frowned.

“Robin,” she looked across the papers: Slade, Terra, Trigon, Brother Blood, etcetera. She sighed, “let's go to sleep.”

“Raven, I can't—”

“I'll help you,” because his heart is in her shaking hands. “I'll help you go to sleep, so come on.” She reached past his head and closed the folders again. “Come on Richard.” He mumbled and okay and stood up.

“I still need to shower first.” He went to move away from her, she stopped him.

“You're fine,” an inky black portal opened up in front of her, stopping them from needing to walk that short distance and instead just fall straight on the bed. “You smell fine,” her small hands pushed him down. He sighed with his head in her pillows.

“Your bed is nice,” she drops her leotard to the ground and changes into some shorts and a shirt under the blacklight. He didn't look over, not until her hand fell on his back and rubbed up his scalp.

She lowers herself down on his back, “you need to stop staying up so late.” Two years and this is the farthest she's ever gone. She scooted off of him, to the side. “Robin,” she laid her cheek on her arms as the bed moved.

He settled on top of her, satisfyingly pinning her beneath his weight, “thank you.” She's selfish…going to him when she's unable to sleep. Lying saying he kept her awake—he did partially.

…..they started there…when they realized the bed felt so much better when he's in it with her. “Hey Raven,” she looked over, he stared mutely.

“Hmh?”

“I just wanted to see your face,” she didn't need to think she was special because she started everything. She knew she was special. In the end, he'd cuddle with her at night even if Star’s snoring and Tara’s talking. I'm her sleep.

She smiled softly, “that's cringy.” She leaned forward, her forehead against his lips. Raven sighed and softly stretched her arms up, yawning as she leaned back. “Sorry.”

“Don't be.” They never really hid anything…you'd always see them leave the same room in the morning. Go to the same room at night…but not everyone knows the hints.

Speedy has been staying with them for a few days now…his eyes wander. Albeit playfully or seductive, Richard doesn't worry. “Hey Raven,” Raven sits beside Cyborg as Speedy stands in front of her with a rose outstretched. “You me, together forever. K-I-S-S-I-N-G.”
