“Hey Richard,” she mumbled over the phone.

"Hmh?” He said softly.

"Nothing,” she smiled with burning cheeks, "just wanted to know if you were still there.” He sighed, her stomach twirls.

"I’m not going anywhere.” Deep and groggy, tired, she kept him up for an hour. "I'll wait until you fall asleep,” he looked at the phone propped up on the lamp as he wrote down things. "Okay.”

"When will you be back?” League members passed his desk and set more papers every now and again. He shrugged.

"I should be back by tomorrow night,” he looked behind him and took a few papers from the Man-Hunter. “How are you all doing over there?" He opened up the folder and started reading through them.

Raven looked over Tara’s shoulder, “sup.” Her face was covered in whatever of Starfire’s science projects she was getting into over there. "I miss you.” Tara rolled her eyes.

"Miss you too,” he replied softly and then he set his pencil down and looked at the phone. "You should probably go to sleep though, it should be well past late over there." And it is well past late, like a little ways past midnight…a lotta ways past midnight.

"Yeah, not gonna do that,” she softly took the phone from Terra, “anyways." She squinted at the phone, “how’s my husband doing?” Tara groaned loudly in the back. “Must be bored without me."

And then she and Tara watched as a female’s hand fell on his shoulder and someone kissed the back of his head…"hey, it's good seein’ you kid." And then she walked away.

Raven’s lips pursed, “if she wasn't Wonder Woman and a thousand years old….I would've thought you were trying to cheat.” She glared, “but I definitely don't like that."

“Whatever, ignore her and talk to me," Terra took the phone back. “So…what if I called Batman enough, will he let you off early?” Dick smiled playfully.

He looked back down at the folders, "he'll just send me home with them.” Even twenty–somethin’ years old and the Bat’s still trying to manhandle the boy…not literally.

Bruce isn't as monitoring as he used to be, but he's still The Batman. "Speaking of home,” he looked back at the camera, "I'll head back now.” Raven’s eyes widened as she stood up on the bed.

"Wait,” she crumbled to the bed, "I'm light-headed.” And then she sat up slowly, “we have the book tube that Cyborg installed, just use that." He nodded.

“I'm not stupid, babe."

“Whatever," she fell back down out of view.

“Anyways, Star’s sleeping on the couch tonight. She and Raven got into it again—"

“We didn't get into anything, she stole ALL of my food after I told her that it was mine.” They banter like siblings when he's not there. "But obviously, she doesn't know how to stop eating.”

….they’re all still pretty young. The Teen Titans wasn't even a decade ago. “What did you make?"

“I didn't make it, Cyborg and Karen came over—”

"Ooooh, see Raven, we all know that Kor really likes their food.” She sat up and glared at him. Not really that effective. Even more so with her stupidly beautiful pale skin and purple hair. “And she has robbed all of us multiple times, you knew she was going to take it."

“Before you continue that, just want you to know that you've fucked me at least six times a week the last three years. Let's not ruin that streak because your shitty fiance can't keep her finger out of someone else's fo—"

“Shitty?" Raven’s eyes widened as green light softly hit the side of her face. “First of all, the food had my name on it—"

“It said Do Not Touch, Star!" Raven’s eyes lit red as she stood up.

“No, it said, Do Not Touch, Star’s! You wrote it like it was mine!" Tara turned the camera around to show him what was happening. Raven and Star glaring at each other.

“Like hell I did!"

“Yeah, because you did!"

“Bullshit!"

“Fine, I'll go get the paper!" And the green light died down as Kor stormed off and out of the room. Richard sighed as Terra turned the camera back towards herself.

“Well, I'll see you in a few?" She nodded.

“Yeah, I'll hold off until they stop fighting."

He smiled, “love you."

“Love you more."

“I'm going to hang up no—"

“There’s no way you dug into the trash," Tara cringed and looked away from the phone. He hung up, not ready to hear their argument.

….

And then he was there, “I’m back!” He closes the door gently and sets his coat on the rack. He walks down the hall into the living room and places his bags down on the dining room table.

And then he's in the room trying to ignore the two of them muttering curses to each other. “When you think about it, they're not so bad when they're angry." Tara kissed him tightly, “got you all to myself."

He's been gone for three days only to return home to two of his three wives mad at each other…and the only one who isn't is completely fine with it. "I feel flattered.”

"At least someone’s happy.” Star grumbled, staring at them from across the room…glaring at them across the room. “Maybe if my greedy wife wasn't so stingy we'll all be happy." Raven glared back.

“Greedy? I didn't eat all of someone else’s food—"

Richard sighed, “look guys, this is going to get out of hand…can't you two just ignore it for now?” He hasn't been to sleep in two days, and now that he can go to sleep, they're arguing? "We'll deal with this in the morning.”

"I just need an apology,” Raven retorted, "anyone would be angry after starving for hours only for someone else to eat their—"

“Okay," he was getting annoyed, “okay…okay. Just argue quietly," his eyes were so heavy and Tara’s way too comfortable to not force him to close his eyes. “I don't want to hear it." His eyes closed as Terra's hand slid along his chest. “It’s too late.”

…….and maybe they felt bad…bad enough to join the two of them in bed all sleeping on each other.

............where Raven could make him cry the easiest; where Star could make him stop crying the easiest...Tara could put him to sleep the easiest.
