"Bhai I am sure I have checked every place in this mansion" Rishi whispered not wanting even a worker to hear about their conversation
As they walked inside, Devaansh met his mother who hugged him instantly "I thought you went back. These idiots didn't tell us where you were and ... and how could you huh ? You came to meet us and left just like that"
Ahaana complained as she struggled with her emotions. Her heart was crying for her son. Longing his presence.
Shalini , Rishi's mother engulfed Devaansh as soon as Ahaana stepped back "beta aese bhi bhala krta hai koi. Thora toh khyal kro hum sab ka"
(Son, does anyone do that?.Think about us a little )
Devaansh apologized, accepting their scoldings and spent the next few hours talking and spending time with them
Reminiscing the childhood memories, recounting the memories of old golden days where they as kids were oblivious of any evil.
"Dev , Tu toh bachpan se he bara akru or shararti tha. jab dekho nautanki karta rehta. Apnay chachu se har wakt larta tha aur woh bhi kabhi koi moka nahi chortay thay issay chernay mein" Shalini said remembering her deceased husband as her words painted a picture of the past marred with happiness.
(Dev , you have been arrogant and mischievous since childhood. you used to have fun every time. You used to fight with your uncle everytime and he too never left a chance to tease him.)
Rishi squeezed his mother's shoulder. She smiled looking at her son.
Shalini became distant after her husband's death. Keeping herself in the room.
Everyone let her grieve for her husband knowing she won't be able to give Rishi the love he deserves if she'll never receive closure.
With Rishi growing up and asking for her motherly affection, she devoted herself to her child's upbringing.
"Bhabhi, we should prepare lunch now. Kids must be hungry" she started avoiding the sudden gloomy atmosphere
As both of them went inside the kitchen, the other three shared a knowing glance and started their mission.
"Bhai wait let's think about this situation first.. we have baday papa as our suspect. So according to me we should first check his office and room to find any clue or proof to confront him. Also as I have told you that I have already searched the other rooms so there's no use of wasting our time"
"Can't we leave this case to the police"
"Vi, if this matter is handed to the police then consider it closed in the next few days. They won't work against our father for sure. And moreover I want to find this out myself. I want to answer Devika's unasked questions. We need to find out why she was suffering because of our family"
Saanvi looked unsure but understanding her brother's point, she decided not to argue further
"How are we going to check dad's office? He won't leave that room for even a second" Devaansh rolled his eyes.
