chapter 2 : who is she ?

-Rajasthan 'Jaipur' -

It's still surprising for me how I am returning after six years of living in full freedom.

But I guess it was bound to happen

I couldn't deny it ! Why ?

Because probably this was the first time in six years that my own blood sister , Saanvi asked me to come

There were no other words exchanged when she called but just that,

"Bhaiya, I won't ask for anything else but just your return ?"

"maybe for a few days"

And just hearing her voice for the first time in these years ,I couldn't deny

Perhaps, the vulnerability in her voice pulled me

The roads looked awfully familiar yet everything is now more developed

Reaching the Rajput's residence, the car passed the huge garden and stopped in the middle

I stepped out walking to the door , taking a deep breath. I pressed the bell and stood at a far distance.

The door opened, revealing the face of my mother

She looked so different

Obviously because I was seeing her after six whole years

She walked out towards me and hid me in her arms.I felt a series of emotions and the top most was

Relief

"Come inside" she said and we walked through the door into the royalistic living room .

"Saanvi?" The first word since I came inside, left my lips and I saw a glimpse of a petite figure walking in the living room. "Bhai" we both hugged each other and remained still for a few minutes.

"We'll talk later. Let me meet everyone else right now" even after a few minutes of hugging,she was adamant on not leaving me so I whispered and we let go of each other

"Dev beta ! How are you?" I turned back after hearing chachi's voice and greeted her. "Humnay tumhari pasnd ki har cheez tyaar Rakhi hai. Jao fresh ho jao tab tak khana lgatay hein"

(We have prepared everything you love. Go freshen up till then we'll set the table)

"Jee" I walked upstairs in my room - ex room - . Looking around into the new details and changing , I changed my clothes and moved out but came face to face with the reason of my departure

My dad

"It's good you're back" He stepped forward. "Is it ?" My tone laced with sarcasm

Dad stopped and shook his head saying "Your sister's going in your direction too" he chuckled nodding to himself after making a statement about my sister

"I am more than glad to hear this" saying this I walked away

"How's the food?" Maa asked and I nodded. We heard a voice from behind "Badi Maa ab apka Khana bura ho sakta hai kya ?"

(Badi Maa , can your food ever go bad?)

I stood up and turned around seeing my cousin who's more than just a cousin for me - Rishi Rajput

"Bhai, I missed you" I wrapped my hands around him and mumbled the same

"Ab Bhai aa gaye hein toh mein chutiyo pr jau ga. Yehi sambhalein ap sb ko" Everyone including him laughed and chachi scolded him
