-Author's pov:

Devaansh sat behind the desk in his room. He had checked the laptop bag which had no laptop. Rather the diary he found in his father's office room

He took it out, keeping the bag down and finally understanding why Rishi was getting hyper the day before.

Without wasting time any longer, he opened the old torn diary who's edges frayed and corners curled up.

Ink stains and smudges mar the surfaces, while faded photographs and cute doodles peek out from between the pages.

'Does it belong to a girl' he thought, inspecting the beautiful decorations

The handwriting within was a beautiful, flowing script, though faded and difficult to decipher in places. The ink has bled and feathered, spreading unevenly across the page, making it difficult to read

Some entries are written in a confident, bold hand, while others tremble with emotion.

He observed keenly , trying to read few words

' Today , I got these flowers '

He read the line written under the bold heading, ' my presents'. And there was a picture of a hand holding delicate sunflowers pasted

It was confirmed the diary belonged to a girl but what was it doing in his father's room.

'Why would he have such a thing?'he thought to himself 'anything can be expected from him'

Devaansh sighed and closed it after reaching the very last page. He kept a hand on the back side of the cover, closing his eyes and taking in a deep breath

Just when he was about to pick it up he noticed something written at the top left corner.

R V

The two faded words written ever so beautifully, adorned with different crayons peeked out from the side.

"R V" he whispered, trying to decipher what could that possibly mean

Perhaps it was the initial of someone's name.

His mind reeled from the diary's secret confessions and the lingering tension from his argument with his father, he found himself lost in a vortex of thoughts.

But amidst the chaos, one name brought solace: Devika.

She was the safe haven where he could unravel his deepest wounds, and paradoxically, the very reason he found strength to contain his turmoil.

The door to his room opened and revealed Saanvi "Bhai"

She whispered his name in the silent room and smiled after gaining his attention

"Come out, let's go somewhere. We are bored" she pouted , holding her brother's hand while standing beside him

Her gaze went to the diary which emits musty scent, reminiscents of forgotten antics.

"I found it in dad's room that day" he said and showed her the diary

She smiled seeing the pretty hard work one had put into it. and suddenly it struck her "in dad's room?"

He nodded , sighing deeply once again and showed her the initials at the back page

"What does that mean?"

Devaansh shook his head saying I don't know.

"Leave it let's go" she took his hand and helped him out of the room

"What will we do here now?" Rishi , the naysayer among the four, huffed looking around the park
