"...Next month's 12th and then next year in February on 6 and 30" The priest smiled at the family after declaring the auspicious dates for Devaansh and Devika's wedding.
The over enthusiastic groom's mother didn't waste a second and stated her decision "aglay mahinay ki 12 tareekh final bs" Her husband chuckled , sitting beside her. His heart filled with genuine happiness seeing his wife so happy and carefree after years.
(Next month's 12 is final)
"Aiye pandit jee" Rishi guided the priest to the door as his work was done while the family members started discussing the necessary settlements. (come..)
"Devika beta , sahi hai na aglay mahinay wali date?" She nodded , smiling but somewhere in her heart she felt a little empty.
(Devika, is next month's date okay?)
Devika was sitting beside Devaansh. He was feeling over the moon with all the preparations. He couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions swirling inside him. Excitement wrestled with nervousness, and anticipation tangled with apprehension.
As he glanced at his bride-to-be, her smile and sparkling eyes reassured him . This was it. This was the moment he had been waiting for. The moment to start their journey, to build their own little world.
His heart swelled with love and gratitude and he knew he was ready to take this leap, to embark on this adventure with the person who made his heart whole.
Meanwhile Devika , herself, was going through a mixture of emotions. Her heart filled with warmth knowing she was ready to start this new chapter with him as her husband and this family as her own.
But as she sat amidst the joyous chaos of wedding preparations, a bittersweet ache filled her heart. Excitement and love for him wrestled with the pang of loneliness, the ache of missing the ones who should be here.
No mother to help her choose her dress, no father to walk her down the aisle, no siblings to share in the laughter and tears. The weight of their absence settled heavy on her shoulders.
But then, I looked at him - my rock, my shelter, my forever home. His eyes sparkled with love and adoration, filling the void left by her family's absence.
Ahaana stood up after asking the couple their reassurance for the dates and embraced them in a warm hug. She smiled at Devika , softly cupping her face and kissing her forehead "I am so happy that it's you"
As the emotional moment unfolded , Ahaana's anxiety mixed with anticipation made her list the necessary settlements.
"So , Sudesh and Rishi , you both go and book the best and prettiest venue for the wedding and then later join us , we'll make the guests lists and the catering choices need to be done as well" her restlessness made everyone sigh and shake their heads. "Maa easy yaar sab ho jayega" Devaansh softly uttered, making her sit and talk calmly.
(Mom, calm down everything will be done)
"Haan or guest list aap , dad aur chachi araam se baad mein bana lena. Abhi hum sab shopping par chalte hein" Saanvi chirped, her excitement undeterred.
(Yes and about the guest list you , dad and aunt can prepare it later. Right now let's go for shopping)
"Yes chalo chalo , sab tyaar ho jao" Rishi exclaimed standing up , his eyes shining with mischief and humour.
(Yes come one , everyone go and get ready)
"Tu araam se baith ja aur apnay baday papa k sath baki k kam sambhaal. Bhai ki shaadi hai toh thoda mature ho kar sab arrangements dekh" his mother playfully scolded him , earning a scowl on her son's face as he sat back with a sigh.
