"Being alone and being lonely are two completely different things"
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅

The girl is pulled into a quick, deep sleep.

She's being kept in the dark about a lot of the things occurring around her. Everyone seems to know her own secrets before she does herself.

They all seem to know what she is going to say and wear and do before she does.
They just don't know seem to know how the districts will react to the girl on the podium.
The murderer that's going to be stood at the front of each district and have to recite an apology to the families of those fallen tributes and graciously accepting being a victor.

Jomilee had explained with partial help form Daniel.
"The victory tour always starts from District 12 all the way up to 1, to where the train will then head back to the Capitol and you will be crowned and have a party."

Just what Alice needs, a party. She'd rather be cooped up alone but she supposed being a new victor doesn't allow any time for a break.

Alice just nods. She doesn't think any of this hassle is necessary.
It's a wonder how much enjoyment the Capitol gets from her suffering. She's practically a puppet under Snow's ruling and control.
She was promised riches and freedom, but she's just another pawn in the big scheme of things.

Alice's dreams are tainted each night having exited the games. Face of those dead and those she killed haunting her when she's supposed to have peace.

Replaying's of the fights she endured only in her dreams she wasn't winning.

A knife stabbed into her leg as hands wrap around her neck, cutting of her oxygen supply as...

Alice wakes up in a cold sweat, eyes wide and panting within the all familiar room of their train, the same train that took her to the Capitol; the same bed and sheets and the same bathroom connected only this time the train chugs on for a different reason.
Backwards to the districts where the girl is likely to already feel more comfortable even if she isn't home to her own grain district.

The girl peels herself from the covers, making way to the bathroom to have a shower and hopefully rid herself of the tension and stress she feels.

⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅

It must be early as she's the only one awake when she walks into the shared living space.

She doesn't know whether that's a good thing or not as normally she has an adult with her or ease her mind of at least help her think of someone else.
But currently she is alone in the train carriage.

Now Alice doesn't mind being alone.
Being alone and being lonely are two completely different things. She doesn't feel lonely, rather she much prefers the serenity she feels looking out the windows into the beautiful landscape.

She just likes having someone there to take her mind off the horrors she had experienced when she can't seem to do it herself.

Many minutes tick by before Alice hears another sliding door open and Daniel walking into the living room she's currently in.

Tension is evident between the pair as he walks in. The pair not have had a proper conversation from when he yelled at her a few days ago. Jomilee having sorted out most issues that followed Alice.

"Morning" He says simply, swaying as he takes a seat at the sofa facing Alice before picking up a slice of toast and lathering butter onto it before taking a bit from the food.

His eyes are bloodshot and he looks anything like he's had a good morning.

He's got a bottle near him, a clear liquid inside in which the girl assumes it's water. But really his eyes and lack of balance should have alerted her that is isn't water, but rather a more poisonous substance that the man is known to enjoy. Just not this early in the morning.

The pair sit in silence the girl just looking over her mentor glaring, arms crossed defensively across her chest.

The only sound in the room being Marble as she walks into the carriage
"Good Morning, Beautiful people" in her cheery town, smile on her face as she quickly shuffled over towards us.

She takes the seat right beside me as she grins "We're getting closer to District 1" she says smiling.

"Oh i've looked forward to this" she adds patting the girls shoulders.

Alice remembers previous s Victory tours where the victors spill bullshit to the districts and gloat about how happy and grateful they are that they won the games.
How grateful they are for the sacrifice we had made, most not saying much directly about the tributes from 9, as the District 9 tributes don't usually get far in the games.

And on that note the girl sits and eats her breakfast silently as the train moving at lightning speed begins making way into the most loved district within Panem.

The group from district 9 arriving a couple short hours later.
