"Silence everybody!" Her voice was sharp, and she had a portable microphone in her hand.
"I want each one of you to go back to your classes and get back to business. This is not a protest worthy issue. Don't make it one. It is my choice. I won't appreciate any one of you wasting even a second more of your valuable time here and for this issue or meddling with my choice. It is my problem, and I can take care of myself. BACK OFF! NOW!!"
She warned and soon there was a considerable decrease in the noise levels, and it looked like her words actually kind of worked. Anya saw this from afar and gulped. That side of her sister wasn't something she has experienced ever.
Her sister never disciplined her.
Heck Anya never thought that her sister had it in her to discipline anybody.
She melted the moment she shed a tear and all this just blew her mind. Her Maana was handling so many students and her words were having that effect on them. One small authoritative announcement and they were backing off.
Whenever her students or colleagues visited her at their house, she heard a few anecdotes but never cared to ponder over them. She heard stories from her students and often found them a little unbelievable but what she saw and experienced in front of her eyes was not something she can deny. She froze in her tracks hearing the deadly voice of Manya that was stone cold. It wouldn't be leaving her system for a long time now.
She was just grateful to God at that moment for never getting to be on the receiving end of her wrath, she never knew existed till date.
Manya was ruthless in business front and took the media for a spin with her attitude a long time ago but at home, she was always the sensitive, calm and warm person for the family. Anya never got to see her that way unless and until it was about Adhiraj. That was the first time she saw her sister go all guns blazing and that was the only topic that invoked that side of her till date even at home.
Other than that, all this anger and coldness.....Anya was neither expecting nor prepared for it. For a brief moment, she was scared of her sister's anger even when it wasn't directed to her.
Abhimanyu recognized the woman as Manya JaiSingh and that made him understand her confidence instantly. She is too successful and independent to have anyone else dictate terms to her or for her to give an explanation.
He wanted to apologize for the misunderstanding and miscommunication but had to track back to listen to the on going conversation.
"What's going on Dharani? Who messed up the power cables and generator supply?" Manya scowled at a student, and she stood calmly.
"Fine. Just get this straight. If I get to know that it is indeed one of my students or even better, one of the students of my lovely class, behind this fiasco, none of you will like my reaction. This is not the way to respond.
